If have not hope we do, then obsolete the other powers of the Light Side become.
—Yaddle
Yaddle was a Jedi Master of the myserious Yoda's Species who lived during the waning days of the Galactic Republic.
She was known sometimes as The One Down Under, as for 98 years of her life she was kept in an underground open space prison on the planet Koba after a failed peacekeeping mission. When she returned to Coruscant, she became the first and only known Jedi Padawan to be elevated directly to the rank of Jedi Master.
She was present when Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn presented the Council with Anakin Skywalker, the slave boy from Tatooine who he claimed was the Chosen One. She was sceptical of this notion, though eventually grew to become a mentor and friend of Skywalker. After the dissidency of Aden Aventus and the death of Qurell Mont Fu, Yaddle was placed in charge of the 98th Clone Legion, formerly known as "Aventus' Bravest", a military post she served in for the rest of the Great Clone War.
Biography[]
Early life[]
She was trained by Jedi Master Zarr Altmore, a Drenzorian human male. Her species, homeworld, and origin is unknown, though she was one of the few members of the same mysterious race as Jedi Grand Master Yoda.
Career[]
As a Padawn to Zarr Altmore, Yaddle was placed on a mission with the Master to the conflicted world of Koba, which was dealing with Invasion from the evil Warlord Tulak, around 305 BBY. Shortly after the Jedi arrived, Tulak conquered the planet and his forces killed Altmore, destroyed Yaddle's lightsaber and imprisoned her. For the next two years, Tulak tortured her relentlessly in an attempt to gain information on Republic movements, only for her to not give into him at all. Bored and angry, Tulak left Koba around 307 BBY to conquer other planets, leaving Yaddle imprisoned in case she was useful later. During this time, the enslaved Kobese people taunted and tortured her through the cell bars of her dungeon, desperately trying to win the favour of their cruel captors of the proclaimed Tulaki Empire. Over the next near century, she spent her time meditating and overcoming her darkness and hate. By 210 BBY she had come to a state of inner peace in the Light Side, resigned to the fact that she would one day die in captivity. Despite this, three years later in 207 BBY, the Tulaki Empire collapsed with the assassination of Tulak's successor, his son Tulak II. The Kobese were liberated by Jedi sent to rebuild the planet, only for them to sense the powerful Force presence on the small planet. They discovered the imprisoned Yaddle, freeing her from her chains. In her enlightened state, instead of seeking revenge against the Kobese who had maintained her imprisonment while the Tulaki Imperial forces had left the planet, she helped them in defeating the Warlords' holdouts across the system. During this fighting, Jedi Master Ernzt Kalofov was killed, and Yaddle would later take his Apprentice, Hindrenian female Juk Katta Tik as her Padawan. She then returned to Coruscant, where the Jedi Council was amazed by her strong will, maintained sanity and inner peace, not to mention her developed Force ability as a result of extensive meditation. The Council then voted to make her the first Jedi Padawan to directly ascend to the most advanced rank of Jedi Master. She then built her iconic orange lightsaber, the only Jedi in since the days of the Old Republic Knight Kulav Ti to wield such a coloured blade. She eventually became Head Librarian of the Jedi Temple Archives, a position which she served in for many years. She would train her second Padawan Jocasta Nu during this time, who would eventually succeed her. When Qui-Gon Jinn presented Anakin Skywalker to the Jedi High Council as the Chosen One, Yaddle doubted that he was the right one to lay claim to such a title, sensing the strong fear and hatred within him. Despite this, she supported that he be trained, just to be weary of jumping to the conclusion that he must be the long prophesied Chosen One. Due to Obi-Wan Kenobi's youth and relative inexperience when it came to training Anakin, Yaddle often took an active if unofficial role in the training of Anakin Skywalker. When the Clone Wars came, Yaddle retired as head Archivist to become active in the War. Known for her fascination with star ships and space travel, she became one of the few Jedi Admirals, being placed in charge of a fleet of Republic star destroyers. Soon, however, she began leading ground battles, fighting at the Battle of Geonosis, the Battle of Hjalmar Prime, the Battle of Kierqen-Alzo, the Second Battle of Christophsis, the Battle of Dantooine, and the First and Third Battles of Uimaria. In 20 BBY, Jedi Master Aden Aventus left the Jedi Order and the Republic, leaving his well known elite personal 98th Clone Legion without a Jedi General. Following this, Anoo dat Prime Jedi Master Qurell Mont Fu was placed in charge of the company, yet was not a good tactician and led them in many failed battles before dying at the hands of General Grievous. After Mont Fu's death, Yaddle was placed in command of the 98th Legion. While she did not care for violence nor consider herself militarily inclined, she had great expertise in lightsaber combat and in truth was a brilliant tactician.
Death[]
When the Great Jedi Purge began with Order 66 in 19 BBY, Yaddle was fighting with the 98th Legion at the Third Battle of Uimaria. She was with Twi'lek Jedi Knight Farindus Montulu and his Padawan Drina Xzavius when the Order was made and the Legion began to open fire on the three Jedi. Xzavius was quickly killed, and Yaddle was severely injured. Montulu heoed her escape the planet, but she would finally die of her injuries after the star ship landed on the moon Byenor 7 to refuel. Montulu would go into hiding and be killed by Darth Vader in 17 BBY.

She attempted on multiple occasions to appear to Darth Vader, but his immense Dark Side power prevented him from seeing or sensing her Force presence. The became one of the Legendary Jedi, and was known for using her power as a Force Ghost far more frequently then most dead Jedi.
