He killed Kesh! Kesh is dead! Let's finish it!
—Warda Grobb starts the brawl at the Miner's Daughter[src]

Warda Grobb was a male Ossak soldier and bartender who took part in the legendary brawl at the Miner's Daughter.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Born on Feldirjo in 69 ABY, Warda, like many male Ossaki, was a warrior trained in the use of swords, spears, and Ossaki clinch wrestling. He had seen some combat by 91 ABY, when his planet was invaded by the Golden Empire. Warda's region of the planet was among the last ones assailed, and the story had already spread like wildfire that the leader of the conquering aliens, Rin Sakaros, was the avatar of Kejriko. His army surrendered without a fight to the Sith witch.

As Feldirjo adapted to galactic-level technology, Warda volunteered to join the Royal Army. He fought during the Great Liberation and was present for the battles of Tershin and Tizgo V. He received the Sacrifice Medal when he was wounded and rotated out of duty when Tershin was recaptured, and though he was back in service in time to fight in the Battle of Ommol, he resigned from the service shortly after the war ended.

With no desire to return to his homeworld, Warda traveled the Empire for a time, often working for cash in labor jobs in which his brute strength was a valued asset. After working as a bouncer at a bar for a while, however, he was trained as a bartender. His four hands allowed him to mix drinks more quickly than humanoids, and work was steady and tips generous. In 106 ABY, he moved to Vedros IV and quickly replaced an outgoing bartender at the Miner's Daughter.

The brawl[]

One night in 109 ABY, a Synnott came into the bar at the head of a collection of tough-looking spacers. The Human server Jarv Chent identified the Synnott as Kilwyo Kesh, recently declared an Enemy of the Empire. Though fully prepared to go for help or even fight the Nightside Raiders, Warda restrained himself when Kesh and his gang made several unsubtle threats to burn down the bar and mutilate the owner's wife.

When Renamo Kemset stabbed Kesh to death, however, the Raiders were stunned for a moment before starting toward the young Nei. Knowing they would slaughter him—and probably the entire bar staff too—Warda seized a bottle of ale and smashed it into the Zyked pirate Sheg-Wey's face. As the Raiders assessed the multiple threats, Warda called on the bar's staff and patrons to take up the fight against the pirates.

Two of the Raiders dove across the bar, cutting Warda with their vibroblades, but he managed to grab them and hurl them back to be dealt with by other patrons. Bleeding profusely, Warda got into a fight with Sheg-Wey, who took a bite out of his shoulder with his powerful Zyked jaws. However, Warda used two hands to hold Sheg-Wey's hands down and strangled him to death with the other two hands.

Law enforcement and emergency personnel arrived shortly after, but Warda had lost too much blood from his injuries, and died in transit to the local medcenter.

Legacy[]

When Renamo married Fiducia Crassim, a Nei server who had also fought in the brawl, the two named one of their sons Warda to honor their fallen comrade.
