Vorak Zal was a Sith male who reigned as Dark Lord of the Sith during the time of the Old Sith Empire.
History[]
Born on Korriban, Vorak Zal attained the rank of Sith Lord sometime before or during the reign of Darth Andeddu. When Andeddu refused to pass on his secret to transferring one's essence to his prospects, Vorak and several other Sith Lords banded together and overthrew Andeddu. After banishing the Dark Lord from Korriban, Vorak Zal claimed the mantle of Dark Lord for himself.
At some point during his reign, Vorak Zal led his forces to conquer to planet of Begeren, located at the end of the Kamat Aegit hyperlane, and established his domain on the planet. Eventually however, Vorak Zal would meet his end at the hands of those who had once pledged their loyalty to him, and his body was entombed on the very world he had conquered. Buried with him was a Sith amulet that he had created from what little knowledge on Sith alchemy he had managed to obtain from Darth Andeddu's teachings.
Over six thousand years later, around 40 ABY, the aspiring Sith Lord Varon Krul traveled to Begeren to procure Vorak Zal's amulet from his tomb, trading it with the Arkanian curator Sal Tyrius in exchange for the holocron of Darth Vidius. Not long after, a team of Jedi visited Begeren to locate and destroy Vorak Zal's amulet, only to find it missing.
