Vor'Dal was the homeworld of the Impari. At some point after the Nightmare War, it was conquered and annexed by the Golden Empire. It was located in the Unknown Regions.

Geography[]

In the past, Vor'Dal had a wide variety of terrain, including forests, deserts, jungles, and plains. After the first war the Impari fought with aliens, much of Vor'Dal was made uninhabitable and the majority of the rest was reduced to rocky rubble. Attempts were ongoing to restore arable land.

Vor'Dal had comparatively little surface water; like Makreal, it had a number of subterranean water sources which either bubbled to the surface in springs or were accessible from caves.

Society and culture[]

The shapeshifting Impari controlled what remained of their homeworld. They had a fixation on defense, desperate to protect their planet from further devastation.

Shapeshifting was a way of life on Vor'Dal, and many Impari changed form simply for amusement value or out of boredom. However, the Impari also developed biological scanners which analyzed the genetic codes of individual Impari who were accessing sensitive locations.

History[]

At some point after the Battle of Yavin (and presumably in the 130s ABY), Vor'Dal was attacked by a race of alien conquerors. Though the Impari eventually repelled their attackers, Vor'Dal was devastated by the assault, with up to sixty percent of the surface made unlivable. Many Impari fled offworld, and those who remained struggled to rebuild.

The Golden Empire fought and defeated the Impari, adding Vor'Dal to itself. Though initially resentful of the second invasion, many Impari conceded with better grace when the Empire brought terraforming projects to Vor'Dal and attempted to restore the damage caused by the first war.
