The Victory Campaign, also known as Operation Death Hour and sometimes as the Victory Plan, was the last major Republic offensive during the Clone Wars, taking place in 19 BBY, a couple of weeks before Order 66. The initial plan envisioned bringing about the end of the Clone Wars prematurely and was the brainchild of several of the Republic Military's brightest strategic minds, including Fleet Admiral Erruouf Azimuth.

While the ultimate target was to strike at Raxus Secundus, the joint Republic forces were held in the Tion Cluster.

Prelude[]

Initially drawn up in 21 BBY and unofficially known as Styze's Zugzwang but shelved early on at Styze's urging, the Victory Plan was devised to bring a rapid close to the Clone Wars by striking key Separatist systems in rapid cohesion. Several top tier Republic commanders were involved in its creation, including Fleet Admiral Erruouf Azimuth, admiral Reivar Maraisell and general Enric Styze, the plan's namesake.

In 19 BBY, despite the war effort, the plan was finally brought to fruition in an effort to prevent greater casualties. In addition to its three architects, Erruouf's trusted right-hand, captain Akas Quinn was involved in the plan as well as admiral Callius Kyro. Callius however died in the days leading up to the campaign, and despite Callius being replaced by the young captain Norven Loyaler, the Galactic Republic Third Fleet was in a poor state, and as a result taken off the plan. Subsequently, the Galactic Republic Ninth Fleet under admiral Keltus Rend and vice admiral Alderia Banjek was reassigned in place of the Third Fleet.
