Venyle was a small desert planet in the Outer Rim on which the rare ore Uranium salt was mined. Venyle was home to a large mining colony called Cryston-IV, owned by the mining company Wild-Industries. Uranium salt was very expensive and had many uses. The most common use of Uranium salt was in a power station to generate electricity. Since the planet had no atmosphere, there was no life on Venyle.
Geography[]
Venyle was a very hot and hostile planet. As Venyle had no atmosphere and was regularly hit by strong sandstorms, a stay on Venyle could quickly end in death. In addition, most species on Venyle had to wear a special protective suit to avoid burning up in the planet's atmosphere.
History[]
Because of its remote location on the edge of the Outer Rim, Venyle remained uncovered for a long time, until the year 4578 BBY when the Pantoran explorer Jara Sonri discovered the planet. Following this, Venyle remained largely untouched, except for a few expeditions by geographers, which were exploring geography of Venyle. In the year 204 BBY the mining company Wild-Industries came to Venyle and founded the mining colony Cryston-IV. The name, Cryston-IV, comes from the fact that Cryston-IV was the company's fourth mining colony on Venyle. The first three mining colonies were all devastated by heavy storms on Venyle. Cryston-IV was founded in 204 BBY by Amaro Wild, an ancestor of Remir Os Wild.
