Ventooine was a nondescript planet in the Outer Rim, notable for being the hidden base for Wayland's Wilders, a mercenary/privateer group allied with the New Republic. In addition to whatever assets might have been on planet at any given time, the organization's base was well-guarded by a 5,000-man garrison, planetary-scale shields, turbolasers, and ion cannons, and 120 Z-95 Headhunters.
