"Captain, please take this Rodian to the interrogation chamber. This environment seems a little... mild for him." - Agent Vancer demonstrating his methods in action. (src)

Vancer was a human male Agent in the Imperial Security Bureau since at least 0 BBY. He was the on-site ISB officer on the Sentinel shortly before the Battle of Yavin. He was killed when the Death Star blew up.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Vancer was born on the planet of Naboo sometime before 32 BBY.

Galactic Civil War[]

Vancer was present on board the Sentinel during the Battle of Tatooine and the Skirmish at Jabba's Palace. After the battles, the unconscious body of Rodian Rebel soldier Demas Cordd was recovered by Imperial troops, and returned to the Sentinel for interrogation by Vancer. The agent entered the interrogation room, and had only asked the Rodian one question before ordering the guard Stormtroopers to take him to the chamber. A short while later, Vancer had escorted a pained Demas Cordd to a prison cell, informing him that he must share a cell with more "alien trash" as the Sentinel had picked up too many prisoners after the Battle of Scarif.

A short time later, Vancer was on board the bridge of the Sentinel when Admiral Stryker Perox entered, discussing battle plans and tactics for the upcoming battle at Bespin. Vancer got into an argument, and almost into a fight with Perox, but their quarrels were interrupted when the Star Destroyer entered Bespin. Not long after the Liberation of Bespin, the Sentinel traveled to the Imperial superweapon, the Death Star. There, the Star Destroyer dropped off a captured GR-75 transport, and headed off, back into space. The 71st Mobile Reconnaissance Unit, along with Vancer and a few others, were to be temporarily stationed on the Death Star. Shortly after this, the Rebel Alliance began their assault on the Death Star. When Luke Skywalker, designated Red Five, shot two proton torpedoes into an exhaust port, it caused the station to blow up, killing Vancer, as well as any other personnel on board.
