Valeria Kennt was a Human female mercenary and a long-time friend of MI5 operative Shasta Moonreaper. Valeria even raised Shasta's daughter Kayla. To keep herself off the grid, Valeria's ship went by many names.
Biography[]
Born on Alderaan, Valeria grew up and trained with Shasta. Valeria went on to be a mercenary while Shasta decided to be an assassin for hire. The two stayed good friends.
In 44 BBY, Valeria found herself on a job with Shasta to stop a young droid-maker named Buzzy Bakken. They destroyed Buzzy Bakken's compound on Myrkr as well as his Juggernaut war droid named Juggy. During the job, Shasta informed Valeria that she was pregnant. Since Shasta didn't consider herself a mothering type of person, Valeria agreed to adopt the child once it was born. Valeria then raised the child, Kayla Moonreaper, on her farmhouse on Dantooine.
In 38 BBY, while in her farmhouse, Valeria was contacted by Shasta. She was requesting her help in rescuing her fellow MI5 agents who were captured and being held on nearby Kalee.
Valeria headed for Kalee, broke in to Jordo Drax's underground compound, found Jace Bont and Europa Kapanen in a holding cell, and escorted them safely out of the complex without being detected. They then flew back to Dantooine.
After the MI5 agents rested, they awaited their fellow operatives to arrive and pick them up. During that time, Valeria revealed some details to them about Shasta's background and Kayla being her daughter.
Valeria and Shasta in 34 BBY
Before MI5 began their mission to recapture the escaped convict Dr. Noah in 34 BBY, Valeria traveled to Coruscant to briefly visit with Shasta.
The following year, Buzzy Bakken arrived at the farmhouse bent on revenge for what happened a decade ago. Buzzy had reprogrammed her droid Anna, forcing Valeria to decommission her. Buzzy also attempted to kidnap Kayla, which Valeria also foiled. Buzzy managed to escape, but Valeria and Kayla were forced to leave the farmhouse and move to a safer location. For the next few years, they stayed off the grid. Not even Shasta knew where they were.
