Hello Fanonites, this is your User of the Month, Josh Bender. I have a couple of announcements that I'd like to share with you today. First, I'd like to say that after this week, I'll be done with college for another semester, so I'll be able to focus on writing again. However, my friend and fellow Star Wars Fanon member Helljumper051 will be returning from the military for the holiday, so I'll be busy spending time with him. Second, I'll be having to retcon (yet again) the Death Watch Revival series, why you ask? Because someone thought it'd be funny to ruin the Mandalorian culture by making them pacifists. So now I and others in my group now need to figure out what we're going to do about our Mandalorian adversaries.
Now let's get to my story announcements. First on the list is Imperial Treachery. It's been a couple of months since the release of the last chapter. I have been working on chapter 4, but school and the short story contest delayed me from working on it. Speaking of the short story contest, congrats to all the winners. My short story, Failure at Cerea is nominated to be a featured work! Feel free to go and insult me on how bad it sucks (it does) or how great it is (it isn't) over here. I'm also re-rewriting it, following Solus' objections so don't worry if it doesn't make sense at the moment, I'm working on it.
Now, remember that other short story announced in my last blog? The one that was supposed to be released in November? Well November came and went, and I'm still writing it. And when I say I'm writing it, I mean it. This baby is being handwritten! Just like the old days! Don't worry, I'll type it up and release it when it's done. Anyways, the story is titled Fail-Safe or if you want to get specific, Fail-Safe or: How the Republic caused a war by complete stupidity. The name and story is a take on the Stanley Kubrick film Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. Fail-Safe is about how Auga, a Republican General, exploits a loophole in the Republic's battle plans and launches an attack on the Volta. The stupidity is from how Supreme Chancellor Dilligaf and his military council react. Again, I don't know when I'll be finished with this, I'm about 8-10 pages into the story and I'm not even close to finishing.
Anyways, that's all for now.
I'll see you on the dark side...
