Announcing a new project. Again. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: Revelation.

No, this doesn't mean that Episode I is cancelled. It doesn't mean that The Drewton Legacy or The Sith Lords Massive Improvement Mod are cancelled, either. This is actually going to be more like preparation for Episode I - a test, using all the same methods, including using actual actors' faces.

It started as just one scene - the revelation scene from the game - but then I kept expanding it. First, I expanded it so that it would span the aftermath of the battle on the Leviathan bridge to the revelation, as well as a prologue on Dantooine. Then I kept adding more from the game. By now, I have a prologue on Dantooine, segments of what happened on Tatooine, Kashyyyk, and Manaan through a report to the Jedi Council made by the player, and the entire Leviathan level including the escape. It's also become the first part of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: The Revan Duology. The second film will be called Resolution.

I've chosen the main actors: Zachary Quinto for the player (who doesn't have a spoken name in this), Nathan Fillion for Carth Onasi, possibly Eva Green for Bastila Shan, Adam Baldwin for Canderous Ordo, and Avery Brooks for Jolee Bindo. The voiceovers, of course, will still be those from the game.

Sets will be done in a variety of ways: animated, based on the game with new textures, dioramas, and printed-out backgrounds. In the Tatooine scenes I have used printed-out and photoshopped-in backgrounds but also real sand.

Unlike any other Knights of the Old Republic film, this will have completely new visuals. I'm expecting it to be about 25-30 minutes and be done in October or November, with a teaser trailer possibly in September. It may have a live debut with webchat on something like LiveStream, and afterwards will be uploaded on YouTube in HD.

Hopefully it will be enjoyable and bring some nostalgia for a classic time in Star Wars.
