The United Provinces of Adin and Morin (also simply known as Adin and Morin and Adin-Morin) was a union between two small desert nations located on the continent of Desertica, located to the south of the nation of Columbia in the Western Ocean, on the planet Earth.

Adin and Morin was founded in 599 BBY as a union between the two small desert regions of Adin and Morin, of which Morin was a self-governing province of Adin, having been conquered by Adin in the Adinian War of 940 BBY, before being granted limited self-governance in 781 BBY. Adin-Morin was too small to be much a threat to other nations, and thus was largely ignored by the wider global community, things changed when the nation joined the Union of Earth States in 77 BBY.

In 384 BBY the Zarkan Kingdom invaded the nation in the Adinian Expedition and forced Adin-Morin to give the north-eastern third of Adin, the Province of Qellukia, to the nation as the Protectorate of Zarkanian Qellukia. This Protectorate managed to survive until 202 BBY, when it was reconquered by Adin-Morin in the Adin-Morin Irredentist War whilst the Zarkan Kingdom was busy fighting the War of the Two Confederations.

Following the Zarkanian victory in the war in 200 BBY the Zarkan Kingdom reactivated the Royal and Imperial Expeditionary Corps and launched the Second Adinian Expedition to gain vengeance and satisfaction over the Adinian capture of Zarkanian Qellukia. The battle-hardened Zarkanian troops conducted a lightning campaign and managed to capture Adinia, the capital city, within three weeks. Adin-Morin was forced to sign the humiliating Treaty of Adinia.

The treaty stated that Adin-Morin was allowed to keep Qellukia, but had to pay 75% of her yearly earnings to the Zarkan Kingdom for the next 25 years, was only allowed to raise 10% of the total size of her military during the expedition and had to promise to never engage in hostilities against Zarkania ever again. The treaty also allowed the Zarkan Kingdom to maintain a garrison in Adinia until all of the demands were met.

This treaty caused riots in Adinia, which were put down by the R&IEC with help from enlisted native forces. The R&IEC was withdrawn after this and a military garrison was stationed in Adinia to ensure the treaty obligations were being met. Adin-Morin finished paying off the reparations in 175 BBY, following which a majority of the military garrison was withdrawn, leaving only a small garrison attached to the Zarkanian embassy.

In 79 BBY, an outbreak of Plague occurred in Adinia in which thousands died, though the Union of Earth States sent aid despite Adin-Morin not being a member, this decision helped sway Adin-Morin into joining the Union two years later.

Joining the Union had given Adin and Morin more of a say in global affairs, however it also brought with it bullying and threats, as larger, more powerful, nations often tried to bully Adin and Morin into agreeing with them. Adin-Morin's dislike of increased taxation, especially after the rise of the Federalist Faction hardliners to power with the election of Richard Williams as Union President in 24 BBY, caused the nation to usually side with the fellow Conservative nations in the Western hemisphere.

Adin-Morin was upset at the perceived growing tyranny, corruption and oppressive taxation in the Union, and her people began calling for a withdrawal from the Union, Adin-Morin found like-minded member states within the Traditionalist Faction, and subsequently joined the TF's replacement, the Western States Confederacy, in 23 BBY. Several years later, in 21 BBY, Jane Zarkan, queen of the Zarkan Kingdom and empress of the Zarkan Empire, the largest empire on Earth, announced the secession of her nation and empire from the Union, beginning the First Secessionist Crisis.

Adin-Morin followed the Zarkan Kingdom mere hours later, declaring their secession from the Union and becoming the 2nd nation of what would become the Confederate States of Earth. Adin-Morin had faith that their larger allies would provide them with support against any Union aggression, but for the first few days found herself almost totally alone, until Jane Zarkan called the heads of states of the 10 seceded nations to Castle Zarkan to discuss creating a new nation.

As part of the creation of the Confederate States of Earth each member pledged to support their fellow Confederate nations, Adin-Morin was finally given the relief that larger, stronger nations would support her in case of a Union invasion. As a token of support to the new Confederacy Adin-Morin pledged her entire military force to the cause, though the militaries of her larger Confederate allies dwarfed even the entire military of Adin-Morin, as a result her military pledge to the cause was welcomed as more of a gesture of Adin-Morin's belief in the Confederacy than anything else.

Despite this, Adin-Morin's fought well and fought hard, they made a name for themselves when they successfully led the defence of Adin-Morin during the Union's Invasion of Adin-Morin, though this was only really possible because the Confederate States Navy forces that were based in Columbia was able to destroy much of the Union Navy's invasion force.
