The religious order was an order of monks following an unknown religion on Tatooine. The monks were often called upon by the Tatooinian authorities to help deal with crimes. As of 3,633 BBY, they had at least one monastery built, in which some monks dwelt.
In 3,633 BBY when a moisture farmer stole goods from a fellow farmer, the monks were asked to help resolve the dispute. When they could not, they contacted the Jedi Order, who sent Karbacca to help them. The Wookiee successfully resolved the case, and stayed for the night at one of their monasteries. During the night, a Sith attacked the monastery and killed all of the monks inside, eventually slaying Karbacca as well.
The order continued for thousands of years, eventually merging with the B'omarr Order.
