The Chosen One was a religious figure foretold of in prophecy to be the savior of the galaxy. According to legend, the Chosen One—called the Son of the Suns in prophecy—would fulfill his destiny to bring balance to the Force by destroying the Dark Lord and, thus, ending the Apocalypse that threatened to destroy the galaxy. The Ophuchi Clan and Ussej Padric Bac, the Shaman of the Whills, believed that Annikin Skywalker was the Chosen One.[1]
Sometime prior to 4 ABY, the individual who was the Chosen One fell to the dark side, but he was redeemed and fulfilled his destiny at the end of the Galactic Civil War.[1]
