Undulis was a Morsian Protectorate Planet within the Morsian Empire.
History[]
Early life[]
Undulis was covered in vast forests and woodlands, with nearly ever continent other than the poles. Life grew amongst the trees and foliage, giving rise to native inhabitants of the planet.
Morsian Contact[]
The Morsians discovered the planet and its inhabitants after becoming space faring in 10,000 BBY. Initial contact was hard between the Morsians and Wookiee population due to the language barrier, though the usage of protocol droids and translators aided the Morsians in establishing relations with the various clans on the planet. Initial reaction to the Morsians was relatively hostile, with few clans accepting help and the rest either being openly hostile or uncooperative with the aliens.
Planetary war[]
The Morsians quickly responded to the attacks, with their various allied clans joining their side as they waged war across the planet against the hostile Wookiee clans. The legions of the Morsian Army quickly proved far superior to the warriors of the Wookiees, though their ferocity and strength were forever embedded in the legions legends. After the war waged for a while, the Wookiees realised that they would never defeat the Morsian legions with what they had. As such, they mostly ceased hostilities and either begrudgingly joined the Morsians or warned them away.
Modernisation[]
The Morsians were careful to not upset the Wookiees, so tried their best to integrate modern galactic technology with Wookiee engineering. Powerplants and electricity were implemented in natural ways, using native construction techniques to create water wheels which could power Morsian supplied generators. Power was just one of the things given to the Wookiees, and soon a hybrid structure of native building and modern technology was established in the Wookiee tree villages.
Old Sith Wars to Clone Wars Era[]
The Morsians generally kept out of Wookiee affairs and didn't try to interfere with their governing or army when possible. The Wookiee clans eventually consolidated themselves into a cohesive country and settlers from other planets started to come to the planet, such as Human and Twi'lek settlers from Sol Infinius who set up their own communes on the planet. Here, the Morsians worked to keep relations between the Wookiees and settlers relatively stable, to avoid a fight breaking out between the Wookiee countries and those of the settlers. The settlers followed Morsian law and way of life, such as the army, and while a couple of Wookiee clans tried to adopt the Morsian way of fighting after the initial planetary war that occurred when the Morsians first arrived, the Wookiees remained with their native way of warfare, though modernised with the Morsian technology. Some Wookiees moved to the settled lands, living amongst the immigrants to the planet, though most remained in their own countries.
The planet was never called upon to provide manpower to the Morsian war effort and attempts to get Wookiee warriors off-world to fight with the Morsians would have ended in chaos, so it was never pursued. The planet was placed on alert when the Morsian Empire declared war on the Sith Empire during the Old Sith Wars and unity with the Morsians became closer as the Empire waged war against the Sith. The Sith never invaded the planet during the war and the soldiers were stood down at the end of the war. The planet was once again placed on alert during the Clone Wars in preparation for when the Morsian Empire eventually joined in the side of the Galactic Republic, though it never came to anything as the war ended before the Morsian Empire could officially join.
Galactic Civil War Era[]
During the Galactic Civil War, the planet was targeted by Imperial spies due to the previous wars between the Morsians and Wookiees. However, since those times, the relations between the Wookiees and Morsians had become more amicable, so most Imperial attempts to cause a war between the two came to nothing, though on several occasions spies from the Morsian Imperial Intelligence Bureau conducted counter-intelligence operations to thwart Imperial attempts to recruit partisans or separatists against the Morsians.
Morsian Jedi Order[]

The Morsians gave refuge to any Jedi who could reach Morsian space in 19 BBY during Order 66, offering them a new life on the Protectorate Planets so long as they followed the law. Several Jedi settled on Undulis either amongst the Wookiees or with the immigrated species in their countries and after several years, the Jedi in the Morsian Empire contacted each other about making a new Jedi Order. After deliberation, they decided to use Undulis as the home world for the new Order, based in the country of Icenia. After getting planning permission from the government, the Jedi built a temple in the country and founded a new sect of the Jedi Order. This new Order grew as Jedi in exile outside of the Morsian Empire heard of it and secretly made their way to Undulis, increasing the immigration to the planet as followers, Jedi and their family came to the planet to worship or train at the temple.
New Republic Era and beyond[]
The planet was never invaded when the First Order appeared in the galaxy, and if it did the Wookiees, countries and Jedi on the planet were more than willing to defend it. However, the Morsian Empire were quick to declare war on the First Order and keep their space clear of First Order warships, meaning the planet was never in danger of invasion.

Role in intergalactic affairs[]
Protectorate planets such as Sol Infinius fell under Morsian rule ultimately and so followed Morsian decisions when it came to intergalactic affairs.
