Tyrans, were a Near-Human species from the Outer Rim planet Tyrus.
Biology and appearance[]
The Tyrans had similar anatomy to that of humans, but were physically distinct due to their bronze skin, white hair and crimson eyes. Though rare and considered a genetic mutation, some Tyrans possessed eye colors blue to dark green and were said to pass for human. Example include the Sith Warrior Kovu Seb and Riyo's father, who bore blue and dark green, respectively.
It was believed that the Tyrans were a result of Arkanian experimentation with the Human genome.
Society and culture[]
Visually comparable to humans with the exception of red eyes and white hair, Tyrans also possessed distinct markings similar to the Kiffar species, usually applied after birth. However, Tyrans or hybrids born outside the culture did not receive such markings as an elder of the family to which they belonged was not present to bestow it upon them, such as the case with Marek twins who received them in adulthood.
Tyrans in the known galaxy[]
Over a century after the end of the Second Imperial Civil War, Riyo married the human Aeron Marek and gave birth to twins Tiya and Corso.
Behind the scenes[]
The name of the species "Tyran" came from the Gears of War series and the name of the Nordic God of war Tyr, and their appearance was derived from the Ishvalan people from the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise.
