Tycho Rowan was a Beadh Centurion of the Order of Keltrayu. He served as a Royal Guard, but found his true calling in diplomacy.
Biography[]
Born on Tantilore in 117 ABY, Tycho was identified as a Force-sensitive after his parents reported him to a Praetor-Recruiter of the Order; he had calmed a stampede of zyzzyx by himself, apparently simply by asking them to be calm. Taken to the Sith Star for training, he fell in with a group which became known as "the 31s" which also included Luna Raquelsei, Sovi Evnairis, Syuug, and Evelyan Sovex. Tycho was often the moderating voice of reason among the hotter tempers in the group.
Commissioned as a Centurion in 139 ABY at the age of twenty-two, Tycho was assigned to law enforcement roles for his first year of service. He acquired a reputation among his siblings for his level head, as he resolved a number of armed conflicts without violence. In 140 ABY, Rin Sakaros installed him as one of her Royal Guards, and he served in the group throughout the Tribulation. Following the conclusion of the Vagaari War, he was among the Centurions who journeyed to Nar Shaddaa and met Nagarian Sakaros.
Rotated out of the Guard in 144 ABY, Tycho was assigned to a variety of diplomatic roles with the Ministry of Diplomacy in what had once been the Vagaari Empire and the Empire of the Hand, assisting the Empire in acquiring actual control of the areas it only theoretically controlled. He remained assigned to diplomacy during the Nightmare War, meeting once with his brother Chindal to discuss the conflict.
Powers and abilities[]
Like all Centurions, Tycho received extensive training in telepathy and telekinesis. He showed an early proficiency with mind tricks and had the ability to calm a room of angry people. He also demonstrated some skill with beast language as early as childhood.
Tycho chose to specialize in Ataru, but preferred not to exert himself in combat when he could avoid it. Though he was not ranked among the top tiers of swordsmen in the Order of Keltrayu by any observer, his time with the Royal Guard gave him a number of tricks and combat techniques for emergencies.
Appearance and personality[]
Tycho stood 1.78 meters (5'10") tall and had a stocky build. Like all Beadhii, he had tall, pointed ears and dark fur and skin. His pupilless, cobalt blue eyes stood out brightly against his dull skin. His single-bladed lightsaber had a silvery blue blade.
Tycho was usually quiet. Most thought him shy in his youth but with his friends, the 31s, he had no problem talking. He was very fond of his work, and when he was able to find time he loved to spend it near animals.
Tycho loved the Golden Empire and his siblings in the Order, and he never had a problem with finding time for any Novice or Centurion who wanted to talk. The deaths of Syuug and Evelyan Sovex during the Tribulation grieved him deeply, but he grew closer to Luna and Sovi as a result, each leaning on the other to support them through their grief.
