Twilight Nariu (née Twilight Cara) was the younger sister of Governmental Investigative Network Special Agent Evening Delwynn. She was a secondary school teacher on Alsakan during the Seswenna Security Crisis.
Biography[]
Nariu was born nearly eleven years after her elder sister Evening Delwynn, approximately 731 BBY. Because of the age difference, she looked up to her elder sister, who often tended to and protected the young girl. When Delwynn traveled to Coruscant to pursue her education, Nariu traveled to the galactic capital-world when both had mutual breaks from schooling. The sisters grew very close following the death of Delwynn's husband and daughter during the Core World heists and their father only a few months later. The relationship between the two sisters was kept very private, but the two did spend time together in their parents's old house on Alsakan during breaks. To protect her sister, Delwynn insisted that they communicate over a secure frequency. Nariu eventually met her husband while attending college to become a teacher. Eventually, Nariu took a teaching position at the secondary school in her hometown.
During the Seswenna Security Crisis, Nariu continued to be Delwynn's sounding board and confidant. The teacher was introduced to Dawn Starskipper, as a means of diversion for the teenager while she was stranded as a refugee aboard the Mally. Shortly thereafter, Delwynn told Nariu about having found her family's murderer. The two spoke privately for nearly an hour about the matter, Nariu encouraging Delwynn to be careful and not be overzealous.
Behind the scenes[]
Twilight Nariu was named to parallel Evening Delwynn's given name. The surname Nariu is derived from reordering the letters in the Nuria, a character in Los protegidos, a Spanish television series staring actress Maria Cotiello, the chosen likeness for the character.
