Triumvirate Starfighter Corps was one of the branches of the military forces of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate. It cooperated with the Triumvirate Navy, making use of the fleet's capital ships as starfighter carriers. After the split of the Triumvirate in 251 ABY, its personnel either became part of the Imperial Navy or the Alliance Navy.
History[]
Anti-piracy campaigns[]
In 247 ABY the Triumvirate decided that would be necessary to destroy all pirate gangs in the Galaxy that were attacking civilian cargos and flights. The Starfighter Corps participated in many battles, playing a main role against pirate vessels that were light corvettes, starfighters and freighters.
In late 251 ABY, the last gangs were ambushed by the Triumvirate starfighters, and with the battle over Geonosis the Triumvirate considered the campaign ended.
Dissolution[]
In 251 ABY, former Triumvir and Chief of State of the Triumvirate, Johan Fel, joined the One Sith Order after a failed coup and founded the Dark Empire. As he called on the Imperial military personnel to join him, much of the Triumvirate military did, as many were members of the Empire-in-exile. They flew spacecraft for the new Imperial Navy, though at the same time many hated the Sith and joined the pro-Jedi Alliance of Free Worlds, serving in the Alliance Navy.
