The Trade Alliance was a galactic mega-corporation in the Galactic Republic. In the waning days of the Republic, the corporation had grown so large and powerful that it had its own standing military, as well as representation in the Galactic Senate. The Trade Alliance was derided by some for its greedy business practices.[1]
Following a dispute with the planet, the Trade Alliance launched an invasion of Ondos, a Mid Rim world at the edge of Republic space. During the invasion, the Princess of Ondos, Sabé Arcadia, was able to escape Ondos with a number of guards, as well as Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. Following a pursuit by the Alliance, they landed on Tatooine and sought refuge. While there, Kenobi learned that the Trade Alliance was part of a much larger scheme, one that threatened to destroy the entire galaxy.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Trade Alliance is a company developed by fan fiction author Brandon Rhea for the Alternative Star Wars Saga, and it serves as one of the supporting antagonist groups in Star Wars: Episode I - The Chosen One and its sequels.[1] The Alliance is based on the canon Trade Federation from the prequel trilogy, and previous drafts of The Chosen One also used the Trade Federation as an antagonist organization.[2][3]
