Old Republic era

The Tower of Hurom was a historic Sith castle that sat within the city precinct of Hurom, the capital city of Thule.[1] Over its millennia-spanning lifetime, the Tower served as the headquarters of a number of Sith assassins' guilds and paramilitary organizations based on Thule during the Manderon Period,[1] most notably the Châtsûshnwûlkut Tsisottoi Shikkarûjontû and Tsistaralkut.

History

Origins

Researchers of the Obroan Institute for Archaeology posited that the Tower was constructed by members of the Sith species to guard the Thule Sith Temple and the downtown district of the pre-Sith Empire city of Hurom.[2][3] As the castle's stonework and the techniques used in its construction mirrored those used to build the Veeshas Tuwan[4][5] on Arkania,[6][7] the Institute's research team believed the Tower was constructed centuries prior to the arrival of the Dark Jedi Exiles to the Stygian Caldera in 6900 BBY.[8][9]

Usage

Over its lifetime, the castle and its associated liberties were renovated, rebuilt, and expanded upon by a multiplicity of residents, giving the structure an inconsistent, mismatched appearance. The castle eventually came to serve as the regional headquarters and principle training grounds of the Châtsûshnwûlkut Tsisottoi Shikkarûjontû, an assassins' guild active during the Manderon Period.[10] During the Sith genocide that followed the conclusion of the Great Hyperspace War,[11] Karos and the Tsistaralkut paramilitary were given permission by the ChTsSh to use the Tower as a temporary headquarters and refugee camp for Sith-blooded survivors of the Republic speciecide.
