Tirion Sol was a Human Jedi Master of the Jedi Order in 78 ABY. He was previously Padawan learner to a Jedi Knight named Sorrus Landan. Tirion Sol had a Padawan named Kayden Ank'hu. During the war with the Sith Empire, Tirion Sol was regarded as one of the most competent duelists of his era.

Background[]

Tirion Sol was born in the verdant mountains of Corellia, within the most populated city situated in the rural quadrant. In adolescence, Sol took an uncanny approach to learning; education was the ruling factor of his early existence, and he understood the benefits of his trade. Within the Corellian planetside learning academies, books and treatises meant more to him than did friends and company. Unlike his peers, Sol understood the principle of an introspective personality, and learned to temper himself in social situations from his furthest origins. There was, of course, an addition to this early mental upheaval. A second epiphany, if you like.

Corellia was a primarily Human capital planet within the galactic region of the Core Worlds. Naturally, this fact meant that there were regular visits by the little-understood peacekeepers, those ubiquitous, yet to the public eye mysterious, robed and sashed figures known as Jedi Knights. Secondly, there was, in fact, a Jedi Academy upon Corellia, situated in a similarly rural area to that within which Tirion Sol had previously lived.

Thus, as Jedi were wont to do, young Jedi Knights summarily made rounds around the innumerable Corellian cities, seeking those with high midichlorian counts who might be drafted into their curious Order. Among those discovered to be eligible, so too was Tirion Sol, though his age was slightly advanced than that of those usually enrolled.

Separating from family was always painful, but perhaps Sol's jaded personality gave silitary credence to the fact that it failed to impede his desire for learning. Not the only one to become an Initiate within the Order, he found himself often at competitive odds with his fellows, but this failed to last as Sol matured. He was an easy-going character, likable by the vast majority, and in so saying it was difficult to hold grudges against such a young man. Time passed, and the young Initiate Tirion, still wonderfully intrigued by all the understanding still to be had in the vast new worlds of knowledge made readily available to him in the legendary Jedi archives, was eventually discovered and befriended by a Jedi Knight named Sorrus Landan. The two swiftly made a good team, and sooner still, Tirion Sol became a Padawan-learner, often seen with braid and newly-fashioned hilt leaving the Academy on missions of various sorts at Landan's side.

The period between Sol's early Padawanhood and the very end of his apprenticeship was a long, arduous, often solitary trek within the abode of understanding his very self. He completed trial after trial with diligent intelligence, yet nonetheless, the effort to understand everything there was to know about becoming a Jedi Knight was more difficult than it had, at first, seemed. Despite this consternation, however, Tirion Sol eventually parted ways with his braid, and though he was no longer apprenticed to Sorrus Landan, the two remained good friends and compatriots long after the ceremony.

From Knighthood, Sol was a prominent figure within and without the Jedi Academy, often a candidate for politics and diplomacy as his nature allowed. This constant progressiveness coupled with an interest in the most base philosophising gained him the renewed interest of the Jedi Council, and before long, he gained himself a seat within that very chamber to call his own.

Dark times loomed, and Tirion Sol eventually learned that the time for personal learning had come and gone, replaced by the need for martial training. He was no novice of the blade to begin with, understanding the necessity for balancing academics with combat mastery, but soon discovered a deep proficiency for it. In time this synergy was recognized by the Council and, though he had not yet fully trained his Padawan, Kayden Ank'hu, it was decided that the Council was too small. He was eventually awarded the title of Jedi Master and High Councillor, and so his future would proceed.
