Thyferra was an Inner Rim planet in the Polith system that was a major hub for intergalactic trade and bacta production. It featured a regional office of the Governmental Investigative Network. During the chancery of Rosock Mekosk and Anwis Eddicus, Eloban Slorfit was the Bureau Chief. The site was a stopping point for Evening Delwynn during the Seswenna Security Crisis, as she planned to complete the custody transfer of Catiene Gallien. During the transfer, the bureau was attacked by members of the Dark Moon crime syndicate, who were acting on behalf of Avar Zranik.
