The Thunderbolt was a Firebird-class war cruiser in the Royal Navy of the Golden Empire. It was one of the ships assigned to Breek Zagrev's fleet when she was promoted to Royal Executor in 154 ABY.
Breek commanded from the Valkyrie and had the Assassin and the Quasar Lance to be her fleet's heavies, but she often kept the Thunderbolt close by as well. When the Valkyrie detached from the fleet, the Thunderbolt was often one of its escort craft. The Thunderbolt participated in the Battles of Chimet and Renthiv and was one of the ships Breek took with her to settle the Clanless Crisis on Rykar.
During the New Year Fete Week in 155 ABY, the Thunderbolt experienced a reactor leak which caused the deaths of Troyg, Withiib, and Swelpz from acute radiation syndrome. The Royal Corps of Gendarmes eventually discovered Dailo Tenzed had neglectfully caused the leak; Breek had him executed.
