The Third Morsian Civil War was the third major civil war fought by the Morsian people between 16,128 BBY and 16,126 BBY, and saw the downfall of the Morsian Military Dictatorship. By the end of the war, the First Morsian Republic was established, outing the role of dictator and bring democracy to the nation.
Prelude[]
Towards the end of the Second Morsian-Sicc'orax War, the Sicc'orax Republic realized that they would not be able to defeat the Morsians via military might, so established a plan to stir up discontent within the Morsian Senate. By infiltrating spies, they slowly turned the Senate against the dictator with the hopes of splitting up the Morsian forces, thereby relieving pressure in the war and turning it in favor of the Sicc'orax. However, the spies were unable to do this before the Sicc'orax parliament surrendered due to the threat of the capital being taken. The spies did not stop, however, and by the end of the war the dictatorship was on the brink of civil war. Senate meetings began to get more violent, and one such meeting resulted in several deaths and arrests, with one of the arrestees being one of the spies. Worried that the spy would be tortured and the truth set free, the spies had to accelerate their plans for civil war. With the Senate divided and the dictator being to show signs of madness, plans were made to secure the loyalty of the legions and secure land for each side. Taking the core territory and supporting continuing the dictatorship was the Qui Unitum Potentiae, whilst the Sicc'orax spies and other anti-dictatorship senators broke away into the Populi Rem.
