The tune to The Song of the West

Hurrah for the West, the glorious West,
The land of the free, greatly storied!
Her name shalt ring, and her folks shalt sing,
Of her honour, her fame, and her glory!
For the Heav'ns above have smil'd lovingly full,
O'er our dear nation so noble,
She rises in her might, for the right to be saving,
Against the foemen invading.

Sons of the West, arise! Arise!
For NEVER shalt fall upon her,
The land that we love all of our Earth above,
One stain of shameful dishonour.

Hurrah for the West! The gallant West!
With her great heart proudly beating,
She harks the sound of Freedom's call,
From her cause she ne'er deigns retreating!
And her sons on the field, for the love of their mother,
They fight on as one proud band,
Onwards they fight, for their freedom and rights,
And for the honour of their land!

Sons of the West, arise! Arise!
For NEVER shalt fall upon her,
The land that we love all of our Earth above,
One stain of shameful dishonour.

No East'rn tyrant hand shalt blemish our land,
To the breeze we raise Freedom's standard!
As her Crimson Bars o'er our lands motion
O'er the main and 'cross the oceans.
Thro' dale and o'er fell, the battle cry shalt awake
"CONFEDERACY and LIBERTY!"
Hurrah for the West! The noble West!
The land of Freedom and Nobility!

Sons of the West, arise! Arise!
For NEVER shalt fall upon her,
The land that we love all of our Earth above,
One stain of shameful dishonour.
