The Great Dewback was a Hammerhead-class carrier put into use in the year 3,956 BBY by the Republic. Its designated captain was Torun Vethk. However, during the year 3,900 BBY, Vethk had a stroke and he was rendered "mentally dead," and therefore unable to command the Dewback.
History[]
Reid Haariut, who was Torun's first mate, took over as commander of the ship. Under Haariut's vigilant guidance, the ship managed to serve quite well in numerous battles.
Participating in the Assault on the Star Forge just a few months after construction, the Dewback and its crew were honored for "outstanding maneuvering" and "intelligent tactical decisions." Reid was awarded many medals and titles.
