The Imperium was officially founded in 4 ABY, three months before the decisive Battle of Jakku between the New Republic and Galactic Empire remnants. The Imperium is a splinter government lead by self-proclaimed Emperor Tobias Rune, a former Grand Moff of the Galactic Empire whom refused to bow down to Gallius Rax, the Fleet Admiral, of the Empire. Prior to its official founding, the Imperium made deals with multiple planets which belonged to the Pentastar Alignment and Imperial Remnant from Legends. Forming an territory similar to that of the Fel Empire, while expanding out into the Northern Unknown Regions and in towards Chiss Space. The Imperium has its own Official Force Organization called The Order of Shadows or Shadow Order with its main Temples located on the planets of Yashuvhu and Bastion. Their role is similar to the Imperial Knights of the Fel Empire, however they do not worship the Lightside of the Force. They act as the Emperor's hand and primary enforcers, generals, bodyguards and supporters.
