Thanacite was an Entu Jedi Master who survived Order 66.
Early life[]
Thanacite was born on the Doph controlled planet of Thanatis after it had been captured by the Entu. In response to the invasion the Doph launched a counter-attack with the aid of the Jedi. The attack was a success and almost the entire occupation force was destroyed. When the Jedi and Doph soldiers were searching through the rubble for survivors or slaves, one of the Jedi, Peltin Zeff, felt a force-sensitive being amongst the debris. He was surprised to find that the creature that he was looking for was an Entu grub, but nevertheless took it back with him to Coruscant for assesment. The Council was concerned at first at the idea of an Entu Jedi, but eventually agreed to allow Peltin to train it. Peltin named him Thanacite, the Entu word for mercy. Prior the the Clone Wars Thanacite trained rigorously under Peltin's tutelage. Peltin observed that Thanacite was very distant from the other padawans and was a fierce fighter, being able to take on three Jedi of the same skill level at once. Thanacite grew into a skilled Jedi who became skilled in form seven lightsaber combat. He eventually took on a padawan, Orik Bayne, who he taught to be a skilled and powerful Jedi. Once Deimos' training was complete he became a knight and Thanacite became a Master.
Clone Wars[]
I see...a forest going up in flames, a group of Rodians fighting droids unlike any I've ever seen before. But most of all I see a space station of impossible proportions, and it terrifies me, but I don't know why.
—Thanacite
Thanacite was present at the battle of Geonosis where he fought alongside his master at the arena. While there Peltin was gunned down by enemy fire and many noted that for the first time, Thanacite became genuinely distressed. Thanacite survived the battle but came back even quieter than before. At the advice of the council he took his own padawan, Tett Gorshun an ambitious young Human. Despite his quiet and reclusive nature, Thanacite became attached to the youngling. Together the two fought the CIS on various planets, even on Thanatis on one occasion. At one point Thanacite came face to face with General Grievous. The two were on equal terms due to Thanacite being able to counter Grievous'use of four lightsabers with his own. In the end though, Grievous fled. Thanacite was responsible for defeating the CIS general Mejune Trojano. Following the last months of the Clone Wars, Thanacite began to see visions of the future and they disturbed him greatly. Thanacite and Tett where stationed on Garqui during Order 66, alongside two other Jedi. However Thanacite sensed something wrong and was able to defeat the clones with help from Tett. They fled to a nearby hangar and managed to escape, but not without the death of one of his fellow Jedi.
On the run[]
Thanacite and Tett managed to escape Garqua and fled to Binaros. However the two were eventually discovered by Imperial spies and were forced to flee. They managed to reach Nieport VII and they believed that they were safe. However they were discovered again and attacked by four Shadow Guards and two squads of Stormtroopers. Thanacite managed to kill them all, but during the fight he realised that they had been concentrating their firepower on him because they saw him as a bigger threat. He realized that Tett would never be safe as long as the two travelled together and decided to fake his own death. He hired a bounty hunter crew to attack him above Nar Shadaar. The crew destroyed the ship that he was traveling in but Thanacite's body remained intact and was recovered by the bounty hunters. Once onboard their ship he was revived due to his Entu biology. He had the bounty hunters fly him to Ensolica and told them to take Tett off the planet while he remained behind. He reached a cave in the mountains and encased himself in a block of ice.
