Teresa Val was a female Twi'lek Jedi Knight who served the New Jedi Order and the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. During a mission, she and her friends were abducted by pirates and taken to the planet Kashyyyk where they would be hunted by her captors.

Early life[]
Born to a clan on Ryloth, Teresa and six siblings were raised by a noble clan that lived peacefully. She, along with her younger brother and sister, were known to be force-sensitive and their parents decided to send them to the New Jedi Order along with other Twi'leks that have decided to learn the ways of the light side. Teresa was excited and was quite impressed that Jedi were allowed to get married. Before her departure, she and her siblings gave their goodbyes and promised that the Val bloodline will always remain.

Arriving to Coruscant, Teresa, Praven, and Seliana had to remain separate during their training. While her brother and sister were trained by various Jedi, she was trained under Jedi Master Meyer Teem. Teresa enjoyed her training with him and became his first apprentice. After making friends with Aldor Vald, Dalan Villon, Endo Villon, Sanniah, Dishi'ra, Criff Nastra, Dackur, and Taharia Chochura, Teresa eventually fell in love with fellow Padawan, Inun Forr.
As a Padawan, she and her friends became skilled trainers and were able to complete tests to impress their masters. During her time, she dreamed of becoming a pilot. As she started to grow older, Teresa started her first flying lesson by Instructor Van Drallig, a noble descendant of Cin Drallig.
