The Temple of The Great One was located at the eastern-most end of the mountain range in the northern hemisphere on the ice planet Rinnk. It was where the criminal organization SMERSH was hiding in the decade leading up to the Invasion of Naboo.
Description[]
The Temple was completely made of ice and was extremely massive in size. It's tallest spires almost matched the height of the mountains next to it. It was built into the end of the mountain range almost becoming part of it. The Temple blended well with the landscape. The front of the Temple was lined with spear-wielding humanoid ice statues roughly five times the size of an average Human.
The front entrance lead through two archways then opened up into a large throne room. Two more archways on opposite sides of the throne room connected with corridors and rooms deeper into the Temple.
History[]
Roughly four millennia before the Battle of Yavin, a civilization of Rinnkans lived on the planet. They worshipped a god known as The Great One and constructed The Temple in his name at the eastern end of the mountain range in the northern hemisphere. There's a full Rinnkan mythology that was never completely deciphered.
Over the next few thousand years, the Rinnkans slowly began to die out or leave the planet entirely. By 32 BBY, the planet was uninhabited by the sentient species and the Rinnkans were almost completely extinct.
For at least a decade before 32 BBY, the criminal organization SMERSH was using the Temple of The Great One for their hideout on the abandoned planet. But, just prior to the Invasion of Naboo, one of SMERSH's plans backfired. The anti-terrorist agency MI5 found out where they were hiding and traveled to Rinnk to attack them.
A large battle took place in and around the Temple that involved lots of blaster fire and explosions. It was the sight of the final conflict in the so-called MI5–SMERSH War. No harm was done to the structure itself.
