The Temple of Inexorable Victory was a temple of an ancient Rakata design that was constructed by the Rakata Infinite Empire to commemorate their conquest of the fortress world of Mure during the Celestial-Rakata War, an extended campaign that resulted in a multiplicity of failed sieges. It was the first structure created by the Rakata following their successful terraformation of Mure by the Rakatan xenoforming station and terraforming station, a pair of orbital platforms said to be on par with the legendary Star Forge.[1]
Though the Kwa star temple in the restored city of Meseren was refurbished with the intention of serving as a residence for the Rakata Predors of Mure, the Temple, around which the city of Sferastotazisiv came to be built, became the seat of the Predors' power and their chief residence on Mure until the fall of the Infinite Empire in 25,200 BBY.[2][3]
Bereft of their Force-sensitivity due to a plague that blinded their species to the Force, the Murese Rakata soon found themselves with a Red Sith slave revolt on their hands to which they were unequipped to answer. The Sferastotazisiv was soon besieged by the Red Sith under Asmenys, and the Predor Bala'zar was cut down on the steps of the Temple by Asmenys with his own Forcesaber. With their city lost to them and the Sith victorious, the Rakata ordered their fleet docked in orbit on the Monolith to bombard Sferastotazisiv and the Temple in accordance with Rakata military doctrine,[4][5] reducing both to rubble. Neither was ever rebuilt or reoccupied by the subsequent Rakata Second Predorate or the later Murese civilization.
Description[]
The temple was constructed in the circular ziggurat style common in Rakatan structures,[5] with four vertical stone slabs placed at each of the cardinal directions and joined to each other by a terraced compound of successively receding stories. The temple was large, even by Rakata standards, and housed a large cadre of servants, guards, and exotic pets from across the Empire.
