Tavin was a human male career military man who served in the Republic Navy during the final decades of the Galactic Republic. Born on Rendili, Tavin joined the Republic's Judicial Department at a young age and served as a captain's aide. During the onset of the Clone Wars, Tavin was promoted to Admiral and given command of the Venator-class star destroyer Reclaimer.
