Years later which led to the Clone Wars, Tarrence joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems where he swore his support to Count Dooku. After taking control over his homeworld, Tarrence began to create wealth for the planet and quickly ascended to power without help from his advisers and becoming the ruler of Thani. This led to the planet's corruption, forcing millions of civilians to turn against him and the Separatists, leading it to a second civil war. However, Tarrence and the Separatists gained the upper hand, forcing the rebels to retreat and remain hidden across the canyons, forests, gorges, and mountains until the time was right.
