Talen Galarus was a Human male who served as the last Senator of Tralon in the penultimate century of the Galactic Republic.

Biography[]

Born into House Galarus, Talen Galarus was elected to represent his homeworld of Tralon IV in the Galactic Senate in 207 BBY at the age of thirty-five. Unlike his father Laron Galarus, who had served as Senator before him, Talen was not well-liked among his peers due to his abrasive attitude and tendency to gossip about other politicians. He would often spread rumors about other senators from other worlds in his sector in an attempt to remove them from office and accumulate more followers.

Ten years into his tenure, Galarus began spinning rumors about Supreme Chancellor Oberon, accusing him of various criminal ties, scandals, and affairs. An investigation into the matter revealed that the Chancellor was not the one guilty of these things but rather Senator Galarus himself. Ashamed and humiliated, Galarus stepped down as senator. In order to avoid future embarrassment, the Great Houses elected not to have another representative from their world and instead agreed to have the Senator of Taris represent their matters in the Senate.
