Talbatha was the only planet of the Chorra System in the Bamula Sector of the Inner Rim. It was an unspoiled world, having remained hidden from other galactic empires for thousands of years. The planet is most notable for being the home world of Galactic Republic heroes, like the T'baali Zyleera. Renowned for its vast jungles, diversity in wildlife and abundance in minerals and gems, Talbatha served as one of the main staging areas for the battles between the Republic and the Separatists.
Geography[]
Talbatha is a geologically active world. It had a extremely hot, dense inner core of pressurized iron and a liquid outer core of iron and nickel. The core is surrounded by a plasmic layer of similar compounds, including iron and copper, and is surrounded by the thin crust. High volcanic activity levels in the mantle leak carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, leading to a thick atmosphere and high temperatures, but also leads to a natural greenhouse effect and diversity in plant life. The plant life, in turn, gives off myriad amounts of oxygen, allowing the fauna that breath the oygen to grow to immense size, but also increases the flammability of the atmosphere.
History[]
Pre-domination[]
Before the Talbathian rule, Talbatha was tyrannically ruled by the Kyiron, a reptilian race of warlords and slavemasters. However, sometime in 550 BBY, the Talbathian slaves, led by Almuran Kliva'h, rose up and conquered their former masters, claiming the planet for themselves. They built a vast empire that spanned throughout the world, and placed Almuran and his prime consort, Liva'rra, as emperor and empress.
War of the Empires[]
In 300 BBY, Kurvuu't Mrik'tah created a separate empire in the south, and Triv'ssh Malk'tuo created another in the east. Soon, conflict arose between the nations and their beliefs; Almuran believed in the unity of their race, while Kurvuu't and Triv'ssh believed they would benefit from separating. Thus, The War of the Empires began.
Despite their best efforts, the rebelling civilizations were too weak to withstand attacks from Almuran's empire; and, as a bargain for peace, each gave one of their daughters to him to be his concubines. After the war, the empire prospered once again.
Religious Influx[]
After the transfer of power from Almuran to his eldest son, Solldan, an age of religious prosperity began. Solldan, along with the royal family, ordered the formation of the religion Thra, meaning "The Way of the Ones". Thra institutioned the belief in the Ones, particullary in Daughter, the embodiment of the light side of the force. The empire soon constructed the holy city of Ku'she, Talbathian for "Home of Eternal Rest", where the dead were placed to rest. This period of time was referred to as "The Golden Age" by many Talbathian historians. This also led to the creation of a new order called the "Peacekeepers". The purpose of the Peacekeepers was to defend the planet from interstellar threats and to regulate order among its inhabitants.
Discovery by the Republic and Separatists[]
In 30 BBY, an Sith battle cruiser stumbled upon the planet, having lost course and wandering across the sector. Heavily damaged from flying through the asteroid belt surrounding the system, the cruiser crash-landed in the Great Yahuula Basin, suffering heavy casualties. However, some of the ships crew and the Republic prisoners survived, both sides having created a camp on opposite ends of the basin. Soon after, the Talbathian civilization discovered the crashed ship and its passengers, and witnessed as the once peaceful area became a battleground. However, the Talbathian civilization discovered that the Separatists allied with their ancient adversaries, the remaining Kyiron. After watching this prospect, the Talbathians, skilled in forging and metalworking, began providing the Rebellion with droids, weapons and supplies. Soon enough, the Separatist alliance, along with the Kyiron, were driven out.
The Talbathian artillery[]
In 29 BBY, the Talbathian empire, with the aid of the Galactic Republic, created the Amridora, the largest battleship ever created in history. Along with the Amridora, they commissioned the creation of the Amridora fleet, the largest and most heavily armed Republic fleet ever created. The Amridora carried with it a deadly super weapon: a large fleet of biomechanical beasts called "Titanomorphs", designed to exterminate any set target or targets. The Amridoran fleet began its course to the Separatist planet of Raxus Secundus with one goal; to annihilate the Seperatists once and for all.
Attack on Ku'she[]
The Amridoran fleet landed on the Separatist planet, the Republic prepared for battle. However, the planet was found to be deserted, having been left behind by the Separatists. Therefore, the fleet set up a base on the planet, claiming it for the Republic. The Amridora set course to return to Talbatha, having claimed victory for the Republic. However, when they returned, they discovered what happened; the Separatists obliterated the defenses and attacked the city of Ku'shel. The city was seized under the control of the Separatists, and the Talbathian civilization had lost their holy city. The Talbathians blamed the Republic for their loss and soon left it, fighting the new threat on their own.
