Created for Black Squadron specifically. An experimental 6.69 meter high starfighter. Two JT-X heavy laser cannons and HK-5X point-defense cannons. AX-4 cloaking generator for increased efficiency and stealth in hostile territory and heavy armour plates for defense.

Tactical Imperial Enforcer Shadow starfighter[1][2], or alternatively as Experimental Shadow fighter[2], was a classified experimental TIE fighter variant of the LN starfighter with black-coloured armour and white-coloured wing plates.[2] Production of these experimental fighters were carried out by the Department of Military Research and a select few of Tachibana Heavy Engineering workers.[2][1]
The TIE Shadows were designed to carry two JT-X heavy laser cannons and two HK-5X point-defense cannons as its armament and defense, respectively.[2][1] However, only twenty of these fighters were built due to the high credit cost of its experimental cloaking generator and the fighters were used by the Black Ops Squadron's Starfighter group.[2][1]
During the Eclipse Civil War, only five of the fighters were ever used in battle to prevent the loss of these expensive starfighters.[1]
A more armed and less expensive version of the starfighter was built to replace it as it was too expensive.[2][1] The newer model removed the cloaking generator, and had more weapons which ultimately required a gunner as well.[1]
