The Sucker (Go'sane'vak in High Sith) was a Sithspawn which existed on a planet in Wild Space.
Appearance and behavior[]
The Sucker had a deformed appearance, with a vague central body surrounded by numerous tentacles and claws. Most of its tentacles had several mouths on them, including some with fangs and some with sucking orifices. The Sucker had several eyes, including some as small as a Human's and one as large as a rancor's. It also had larger mouths than the ones on its tentacles, some larger enough to devour a grown humanoid whole.
The Sucker's primary attacks were with its tentacles. It could generate enough force to spear through an organic being's body; its suckers and tentacle mouths could digest the internal organs and bones of a humanoid being in seconds. The Sucker could also claw its prey, or eat them whole with its larger mouths.
As a Sithspawn, the Sucker was armed with defenses beyond those of a natural being. It was resistant to both external pain generally and Force lightning specifically, and had some measure of defense against Force pushes. However, it had no defenses against telepathy.
History[]
The creation of the Sucker, as well as its arrival on its adopted planet, were complete mysteries to the contemporary galaxy. By 158 ABY, a cult had become entrenched in the jungle around the cave where the Sucker dwelled. The Sucker had been dormant for an unknown period of time, but the cultists still sacrificed natives to it; those in surrounding villages lived in terror of both the cultists and "the pit".
In 158, Rin Sakaros, Tarzg Sav'lir, and Azalyn Kass`l arrived on the planet, guided by advice from Myko, in Rin's quest to reawaken her telepathic abilities. The trio interrupted a ceremony celebrating the reawakening of the Sucker and other prophesized events, and Rin led an attack on the cultists. In the ensuing battle, the Sucker began to emerge from the pit, terrifying many of the combatants and killing several cultists. It attempted to feed on Azalyn, which galvanized Rin to finally break through her unconsciously-self-imposed telepathic barriers and rip apart its mind. As the Sucker reeled, Rin carved it open with her lightsaber, then killed it with Force lightning into its exposed wounds.
Intrigued by the Sithspawn's presence, Rin considered investigating its corpse, but Tarzg persuaded her not to. The three used the Force to cause an avalanche and bury the Sucker's cave instead.
Behind the scenes[]
The Sucker's High Sith name was created by combining the Google Translate of "sucker" into Hindi ("choosane vaala") and Uzbek ("go'dak").
The Sucker's design was heavily influenced by the monsters of H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos.
