Stella Primus was a Morsian Protectorate Planet within the Morsian Empire.
History[]
Early Life[]
The planet was inhabited by primitive humans who spread out across its surface, establishing tribes or early civilisation in the more habitable areas. These civilisations rose and fell as wars and disasters built them up and broke them down. These countries slowly industrialised but failed to invent electricity or have an industrial revolution prior to external contact with the rest of the galaxy.
Morsian Contact[]
After the Morsians discovered space travel thanks to the Jedi, they started to explore the systems around them and discovering the planets orbiting the stars. One of the first inhabited planets they found was this planet which the Morsians named Stella Primus, after the star it orbited, which they named Stella. After performing reconnaissance of the planet and its inhabitants, the Morsians initiated contact with the largest and most powerful countries on the planet with a proposition. The Morsians would help the countries develop with modern machinery, electricity and engineering as well as protect them from both planetary and extra-terrestrial threats in return for trade goods, resources and money should a currency system be implemented/improved. While most were suspicious of the aliens, a couple of countries accepted the proposition and accepted Morsian help.
Expansion and industrialisation[]
The countries that accepted help soon started to receive the benefits of Morsian assistance. Modern construction techniques allowed better living standards for their citizens, with education being brought to the masses who previously may have had no access or education system at all. Many jobs were made with new companies and job opportunities arising due to the modernisation the Morsians were bringing. Jobs in sectors such as sanitation, education, construction, clean energy, business, retail and many more were popping up rapidly with the sudden development bringing proper roads, safe construction techniques, electricity, heating, plumbing, education and many more things to the countries working with the Morsians.
Soon, more countries started to accept Morsian help and were also brought the secrets the Morsians had, rapidly developing their countries under the Morsian agreement. Some countries, however, were openly hostile to the Morsians, waging war against both them and countries friendly with them. During the early part of the Morsian program, much military power had to be poured into the planet to protect both native and Morsian assets there against hostile nations.
Calming and co-operation[]
As the Morsians became more accepted on the planet and the population grew used to them being their, wars and hostilities slowly ended, with the un-cooperative countries resorting to watching the Morsians on their borders and engaging in diplomacy to express their dislike of the aliens on their planet. With the population becoming less volatile, the Morsians realised they didn't need such a large military presence on the planet anymore and so could start to raise and train native military forces to look after their own countries. The Morsians provided arms and weapons to the militaries of their allied countries and taught them how to fight in the Morsian style, raising native legions that could do the job instead of Morsian legions, which needed a lot of upkeep due to their inability to breathe any atmosphere other than their own.
Old Sith War and beyond[]
Stella Primus was not intended to provide manpower to the Morsian war effort unless it was for an emergency. The native legions created on the planet were only intended to remain on the planet's surface to deal with internal affairs or local planetary wars. As such, for all the intergalactic conflicts, the legions of Stella Primus were mobilised and placed on alert for possible planetary invasion but not prepared for space travel. Luckily, during the Old Sith Wars, the planet was never invaded as the Sith Empire instead jumped straight to Mors itself, fighting the Siege of Mors. The idea of using the legions based on Stella Primus as reinforcements against the Sith invasion was suggested but ultimately rejected. The legions remained mobilised until the end of the war, when they were stood down.
During the Clone Wars, the legions were once again placed on alert for when the Morsian Empire joined in, but this never came to fruition as the Morsian Empire never officially entered the war. When the Galactic Empire took over at the end of the war, the legions were stood down but remained cautious. The Morsian Empire and Galactic Empire engaged in proxy wars for most of the Empire's life, so while the legions were never mobilised during this time, they were called upon in various countries to fight bandits, separatists and partisans paid by the Empire to cause trouble. When the Morsians declared war on the Empire in 0 BBY, Stella Primus was placed on alert in case the Empire invaded Morsian space, though all that came was several wars that occurred due to the Empire funding rebels against countries allied with the Morsians.
