Alright boys and girls, it's time for the Fifth Star Wars Fanon Wiki Awards! And now, here are your hosts: Darth tom and Nightmare975! Before we get to the nominations, we would both like to wish Darth Wylind a speedy recovery from his injuries and hope to see him back here at the Star Wars Fanon wiki! Okay, let's get to the time frame for this years awards.

December 18, 2009 - January 16, 2010: Nominations!
January 16 - January 31, 2010: Voting!
February 1, 2010: Winners announced!

When nominating, be sure to remember...

  • When you nominate an article, it doesn't have to be of novel length. Length does not necessary equal quality, and vice-a-versa. The Wiki Awards is about quality. Short articles can be awesome, too. Show them some love.
  • As well, you don't have to nominate good articles and/or featured articles. Just because an article isn't well-known or hasn't been recognized doesn't mean it's not good.
    Note: This is not to say not to nominate long articles or GAs/FAs, but not to limit yourself to them.
  • When nominating for best author and collaborative author, that doesn't mean the most well-known author/s or the author/s that has/have churned out the most articles. It is for the best. Keep that in mind. Be non-biased. Suck-ups will be shot. Just kidding...or are we?

Welcome to the Fifth Wiki Awards!

  1. You may nominate an article only under a category into which the article or work fits.
  2. You may nominate an article under more than one category if it fits into more than one category.
  3. An article may only appear once under each category.
  4. You may nominate your own articles, but you may only nominate your own articles once per category.
  5. Authors may be nominated more than once per category, but per Rule #4 they may only nominate themselves once per category.
  6. Besides the "Best former winner" category, previous winners are ineligible for nomination. The only exception is the "Best Author" category. The previous winners of that category (Jasca Ducato, Brandon Rhea, and Solus) are all entitled to win it again.
    1. When nominating an article for the "Best former winner" category, the nominated article must not have been deleted. See here for a list of all past winners.
  7. The format for nominations beneath each category is as follows:

This category is for the best character who walks the path of the light side.

Best Dark-sided Individual[]

This category is for the best character who walks the path of the dark side.

Best Republic Individual[]

This category is for the best character who is a part of the Galactic Republic, New Republic, the Galactic Federation of Alliances, or any other character who is part of a republican organization.

Best Imperial Individual[]

This category is for the best character who is a part of the Galactic Empire, the Imperial Remnant, Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire, or any other character who is part of an imperial organization.

Best Rebel Individual[]

This category is for the best character who is a part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Alliance to Restore the Republic, the Empire-in-exile, or any other character who is part of a rebel organization.

Best Other Individual[]

This category is for the best character who is a part of any other canon or fanon organization, or unaffiliated.

Best Overall Individual[]

This category is for the best character overall.

Best Government[]

This category is for the best government of any kind.

Best Light-sided Organization[]

This category is for the best organization that follows the teachings of the light side.

Best Dark-sided Organization[]

This category is for the best organization that follows the teachings of the dark side.

Best Other Organization[]

This category is for the best non-Force-related organization.

Best Overall Organization[]

This category is for the best overall organization.

Best Planet[]

This category is for the best planet.

Best Location[]

This category is for the best location that is not a planet. This includes systems, sectors, cities, buildings, and any other type of location save for planets.

Best Battle/Duel[]

This category is for the best battle or duel of any kind.

Best War[]

This category is for the best war.

Best Species[]

This category is for the best species, be it any type of sentient, semi-sentient, or non-sentient species.

Best Technology[]

This category is for the best technology.

Best Miscellaneous Article[]

This category is for the best article that doesn't fit the other categories.

Best Fan Work[]

This category is for the best fan work such as novels, novellas, short stories, photo novels, comics, and all other non-article related fanon works.

Most Collaborative Authors[]

This category is for the most collaborative authors.

Best Author[]

This category is for the best author on Star Wars Fanon.

Best Former Winner[]

This category is for the best former recipient of the Wiki awards.
