History
2006 elections
Appointed administrators: (none elected)[1]
Throughout 2006, various users attempted to hold elections to promote users to adminship and stop the constant and major vandalism that was continuously occurring each day on Star Wars Fanon. Various users, considered veterans, ran, but they all failed to be promoted. Due to the fact that the Wikia Staff had done user checks on several members and found out many were connected to vandalism, they refused to promote any potential vandal to adminship, and so elections were, in the end, pointless. The last known results of a failed election was between ten users, three whom became administrators later, in 2007. Some notable users who did not again run for adminship later included Aiddat, MaulYoda and Pinata.[2]
The major reasons for the failure of the 2006 elections, which began as early as May and were frozen by December, was due to the ongoing "Vandal Wars", between the so called "ISV" and "Vandal Poachers". These events caused a lot of turmoil and controversy amongst Star Wars Fanon users, vandals, and Wikia Staff, which led to distrust and the failure of elections. Since the founder of the Wiki, Neomessiah, was inactive, he was unable to promote presumptive winners to adminship. Come August 8, Jennie "StarNeptune" Cooper was nominated for adminship, based on her reverts of the vandalism plaguing the site at the time. Sannse of Wikia Staff took note of the nomination, noticed that members of Star Wars Fanon were accepting of Cooper, and promoted her to adminship on August 10 based on her prior adminship experience at Wookieepedia.[3] Due to the rampant use of sockpuppets plaguing the site at the time, Sannse also gave Cooper check user rights, which are rarely, if ever, given out to non-Wikia staff, in order to monitor sockpuppet usage.[4][5]
Later, on October 14, Sannse appointed three users to adminship, though not through a formal election. The users were Bub, C3PO the Dragon Slayer, and Jedi Master 76.[5] With the new appointees, more control of the Wiki fell into the hands of the administrators and the community, enabling them to prevent vandalism and vandals with more efficiency. Due to this, vandalism died down and Star Wars Fanon slowly began to stabilize, and later went through many reformations to higher the overall quality of the Wiki.
March 31–April 30, 2007 election
Candidates:
The March/April elections began when the administrator C3PO the Dragon Slayer opened the first official "requests for adminships" following his appointment as an administrator by Wikia Staff, along side Bub, Jedi Master 76, and StarNeptune. Initially, C3PO the Dragon Slayer nominated four candidates: Christian "NKSCF" Ashley, Jack Phoenix, Darth tader, and Victor "Squishy Vic" Dorantes. Later in the run, Darth JCS was nominated by Wikimaniac and Ewoksfist nominated himself, the only candidate to actually request adminship. Within the week of the election, Darth JCS was overwhelmingly opposed, due to his lack of experience, although he remained in the contest.[6]
Throughout the entire contest, both Phoenix and Dorantes were neck and neck, usually with one leading over the other by a single vote or they were tied. However, it was already known that the top two candidates would be elected as SysOps, so at the time, neither of the two had to worry about losing. As the contest went on, however, both Ashley and Tader garnered support from fellow community members and friends. However, unlike Ashley, Tader was also opposed due to his bad reputation as an administrator on other Wikia, and his own lack of experience. Ashley rallied support and when the contest was nearly over, he tied up with Phoenix with nine total votes, while Dorantes led with ten.
Unfortunately for Ashley, a proposal for partnership between Star Wars Fanon and Wookieepedia went sour, which led to Ashley making personal attacks directed at Thefourdotelipsis and Redemption, both users from Wookieepedia. Due to this, Thefourdotelipsis and another Wookieepedia user, Imperialles, opposed Ashley's request for adminship; since the voting policy had not yet been created, a user only needed to make a small contribution in order to vote. This opposition could, arguably, have cost Ashley the adminship; if Imperialles's attention had not been brought over to Star Wars Fanon because of the spat with Wookieepedia, he would've not supported Phoenix, which would've led to a tie between Phoenix and Ashley, with ten votes. However, the outcome ended with eight total votes for Ashley.[7]
Phoenix and Dorantes won the nomination, with Dorantes finishing in first place. He obtained a total of twelve votes, with no opposition; the same went for Phoenix, only he had a total of eleven votes. Dorantes and Ewoksfist, who landed in fourth place, were the only two candidates to be endorsed by all of the active admins, minus StarNeptune since she was inactive.[8][9] Dorantes was also the only candidate to be endorsed by all five of his opponents.[9]

May 27–June 27, 2007 election
Candidates:
The May/June election began approximately one month following the previous election. It began after Jack Phoenix, a winner from the previous election, nominated Wayne "CurrentBigThing" Lipman III. Within the hour, Christian Ashley, a candidate in the previous election, nominated both Jasca Ducato and Gnosis is knowledge. All three users garnered support rapidly, however, Lipman was the only one to attract opposition. Due to his "harsh" nature and upfront attitude, various users were intimidated by Lipman's Wiki philosophy, which included being "merciless" and a deletionist. Lipman had many discussions and answered to many questions or arguments with other users, in an attempt to sway them and gain their vote.
Lipman eventually convinced most of the opposing users to support him, including Pinky49 and Darthtyler; only Bub remained as the sole opposition by the end of the election.[12] By the end, both Jasca Ducato and Lipman had fifteen support votes, but unlike Lipman, Ducato had zero opposition. Gnosis is knowledge also went unopposed, but he only managed to gain ten support votes, which lost him the election. Lipman and Ducato won the election, with Ducato in first place, and the two became the newest administrators.
Ducato was endorsed by all five of the active admins at the time;[13] it would've been the same for Lipman, but he was opposed by Bub, one of the five at the time. Lipman's adminship struggled, because within a month, by the end of July, Lipman took an indefinite leave from Star Wars Fanon after having a spat with Jwebb13, which led to another election in the beginning of August. Lipman, though, retained his status as an administrator.

Candidates:
The August/September election began on August first, and it was initiated by C3PO the Dragon Slayer. He nominated all four of the candidates, three who had run before. Christian "NKSCF" Ashley, Darth tader, Gnosis is knowledge, and a newcomer, Brandon Rhea. Since Ashley had regained his credibility and continued being an active member of the community, he immediately garnered support from the community. He practically secured adminship within the first day of voting, since he had a substantial lead over his opponents. The race for second place was between the other three candidates, but Darth tader had little support throughout the election, with a few stating neutrality towards him.[11]
Brandon Rhea and Gnosis is knowledge fought for the second place nomination; Rhea had some early unfair and unreasonable opposition, due to personal issues with other users. Gnosis, being a veteran user and former candidate, slowly gained a lead on his opponent. As the end of the election drew nearer, Gnosis had obtained a total of eight support votes, with zero opposition; the same for Rhea, only with six support votes. It seemed Gnosis would secure second place, but he did not. He stated that he was going to be "leaving for a long while", and withdrew from the race, despite his lead. Had he stayed in the race, he would've obtained adminship, since Rhea obtained no more support after Gnosis's withdrawal.
Following that event, Dorantes, criticized Rhea for his management methods, but the two reconciled before the end of the election, but Dorantes still did not endorse Rhea, instead bidding him "good luck".[15] At the end of the election, Ashley came in first place with fourteen total votes, and Rhea in second with six. Despite the marginal differences in their support, both were still were promoted to adminship, as the rules deemed. After the August/September elections, no new admins were needed, until midway through the following year.

June 23–July 23, 2008 election
Candidates:
Due to the sudden retirement of the administrators Victor Dorantes and Jedi Master 76 on June 21 and June 30 respectively,[17][18] Brandon Rhea opened up two new elections to find replacements for the retirees.[19][20] Originally, Rhea opened up the elections to replace Dorantes alone, and when Jedi Master 76 retired, he emphasized on electing two new administrators rather than simply suggesting it.[19] Immediately, Rhea nominated and supported Gnosis is knowledge, a two time nominee that Rhea had faced. Rhea praised Gnosis and many others followed suite as the election went on, garnering Gnosis the most amount of votes in the election, with both eleven support and total votes.[19][14] Although Gnosis received no opposition, a couple of users remained neutral based on Gnosis's inactivity.[19][14]
The second user to be nominated was a new entry, Michaeldsuarez. He accepted a nomination by Arav the Undersith, and also garnered strong support, including from the administrators Brandon Rhea, Christian Ashley, and Wayne Lipman III.[19][21] He gained a total of seven support votes, but, unlike Gnosis, received two votes of opposition.[19][21] One of the opposition votes came from Thomas "Darth tom" Rattim, who was the third nominee and another new entry; he stated Michael needed more experience in writing articles and sympathizing with users, and his opposition was backed by Darth Nyne.[19][21] Still, Michael's nomination was successful and he was elected alongside Gnosis.
As for the third nominee, Darth tom, he received three votes of support and one opposition.[19][22] Ironically, his nomination and first supporting vote came from Michael, whom Darth tom had opposed, and his other two votes came from Darth Nyne and Arav.[19][22] He too received a vote of opposition, from Victor Dorantes, where Dorantes stated Darth tom needed more experience overall before becoming an administrator.[19][22] Darth tom was unsuccessful in his nomination.

August 19–November 27, 2008 election
Candidates:[23]
After the newly elected administrator Michaeldsuarez notified the Star Wars Fanon Wiki that he was going to be less active due to his work on the The Elder Scrolls Fanon Wiki,[24] newly appointed bureaucrat Brandon Rhea opened up what he termed a massive administrative election on August 19, with potential for an unlimited amount of candidates and without a set close date. Rhea stated that the Star Wars Fanon Wiki needed a lot more administrators and that, in his opinion, they only needed to meet the requirements of the voting policy and be competent users to be elected. To be elected, a user needed at least a net total of ten votes and also needed to remain nominated for at least three weeks.[25] Immediately upon opening the elections, Rhea nominated Rattim, who had been unsuccessful in the previous election, and Andrew "Drewton" Barton, a user who was known to be active in the Star Wars Fanon community. Both users garnered support, although Darth tom more so than Drewton.
Darth tom brought in fifteen support votes, including support from administrators Brandon Rhea, Michaeldsuarez, and C3PO the Dragon Slayer. He also was opposed by a generally inactive member, RC-1136, although his vote didn't count since, due to his lack of participation at the Wiki, he didn't meet the voting policy requirements.[22] Drewton was elected with a total of eleven support votes, including votes from administrators Brandon Rhea and C3PO the Dragon Slayer. He was initially also supported by Michaeldsuarez, although was later opposed by him, which was subsequently removed after some debate.[26] Both candidates' elections ended on September 8, 2008, and both were successful.[22][26]
The next day, on September 9, Solus was nominated for Administrator by Arav the Undersith. She garnered the ten required votes needed to become an Administrator in the election, and she gained the support of both active Bureaucrats. For nearly one month, however, Solus did not accept or decline the nomination, which led to a high number of neutral votes. However, once she accepted the nomination, many users switched their votes to support and she received the required number of support votes in less than two days.[27]
On September 12, Hunter "Xwing327" Manuel nominated himself for Administrator. He did not receive any support votes, though his nomination garnered eight opposition votes and two neutral votes, the two neutral votes being from Victor Dorantes and Unit 8311. Most of the opposition came from the fact that Manuel had been inactive on the Wiki for some time and had only recently returned by the time of his nomination, though other reasons included what some felt was poor behavior on Manuel’s part on TheStarWarsRP.Com and the sockpuppet controversy he had been in nearly one year earlier. The nomination was pulled on October 22 due to a lack of support.[28]

July 25–August 8, 2009 election
Candidates:
On July 25, 2009, Joe Butler nominated Nacen for the position of administrator, beginning a request for administrative rights that would last for two weeks. Throughout the duration of the election, Nacen garnered a total ten votes, all of them in support of his nomination. These ten votes included the votes from both bureaucrats, which meant, if the election was successful, Nacen was guaranteed administrative rights. On August 8, 2009, the election ended with ten support votes, zero neutral votes, and zero opposition votes, making Nacen the seventeenth administrator on the Star Wars Fanon Wiki.[29]

Candidates:
On August 13, 2009, Brandon Rhea nominated Trak Nar for the position of administrator, citing her long career of editing on the wiki and a commitment to improving the wiki's quality. The nomination garnered six support votes and two neutral votes, one of the latter being due to a concern over Trak Nar's level of activity on the wiki, before the nominee retracted the nomination one day later on August 14, 2009. Trak Nar cited her activity and her fear of abusing power, as well as her desire to remain a general editor because of it.[30]
