Welcome to the first annual Star Wars Fanon Image Contest! This community-wide event is to (hopefully) garner some more interest in SWFanon and bring out the artists. So, if you can draw, paint, model, sculpt, or Photoshop and wanna prove your mettle, feel free to enter your work. It doesn't need to be a whole new drawing just for the contest, if you wish to use an existing piece you've uploaded, by all means do so.
Artwork will be categorized and voted on by the community, with myself and Wylind officiating. Artwork will be judged on basis of composition, technique, detail, and style, rather than the subject matter. Art will be judged with other pieces in their own category, for example, traditional drawings will be judged with traditional drawings. When the voting period arrives, please take your votes seriously and consider what goes into the artwork before voting. This is not a popularity contest. Vote on the art, not the user or subject matter. Votes will be tallied at the end of the designated voting period. Categories and entries with tied votes will be judged by the masters of ceremonies to approach a final decision. Trak Nar Ramble on 03:45, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
THE POLLS ARE NOW CLOSED!
You are free to vote for images starting Sunday, December 5th through Monday, December 20th. After which time, the votes will be tallied and if there are any ties, I'm just gonna tally them all together. Then at a later date, I will critique a number of the pics.
The Voting[]
Just another reminder that the voting is CLOSED. No additional votes will be accepted.
Now, the part you've been waiting for... The voting! Extraneous categories have been removed/merged. Please try to vote on the artwork itself, rather than the user and/or subject matter. You cannot vote for your own entry. That is cheap and kinda cheating. =P
Just put your vote beneath the entry you like, ie:
*Whatever image—by whatever artist
*#Your signature

Traditional[]
- The image I drew of a guy who doesn't exist and for a while served as my user page image until I revealed my gender. Pencil drawing on paper, scanned in and contrast added in Photoshop—Solus
- Gruu Funkistann—Pencil and ink on paper—Dubya Scott
- Mila - Pencil on paper, colored in Photoshop - nightmare975
- Xenia—Pencil and ink on paper, colored in Paint Shop Pro—Dubya Scott
- Europa Kapanen—Pencil and ink on paper, colored in Paint Shop Pro—Dubya Scott
- I really like this pic. I like the simple comic/cartoon art style it has. Usually, in fan art, I see either realistic styles or anime styles. To see an original art style reminiscent of Bruce Timm is a refreshing change of pace. The attitude Europa has with her pose is great. Trak Nar Ramble on 06:25, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

Alright, I just got the program I used to make my lightsaber hilt, so I am going to try and crank out a few more images, although they will only be for the digital sections. I am not sure if I will be able to get them in by tomorrow since I would just be getting my home internet back on Friday (deadline day), and I don't have school. The point being, don't depend on my entries to be in before the deadline, this was just to give a heads up about a possible last minute entry(ies).-I'm the Chosen OneSo the Prophecy says... 23:46, December 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Hey, take your time. I may not get around to actually starting the voting period until Friday night anyway. Or, early Saturday morning, as the wiki's clock will say. Trak Nar Ramble on 04:37, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
Just go ahead with it. The Secondary place I go for internet (primary is my school) won't let me install the program to work on my files and so I won't be able to even work on them until tonight, and actually posting them will probably take until tomorrow. So when the time comes, just start up the voting.-I'm the Chosen OneSo the Prophecy says... 20:54, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
- The nominations shouldn't close until 12am Eastern Standard Time tonight, because the deadline says "through" December 3rd. That means until the last second of the day. /lawyering - Brandon Rhea (talk) 22:06, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Ummm... It's fift now and at least the sitenotice still says "accepting nominations". Shouldn't we start voting?--Dionne Jinn—Did you say something? 22:14, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Critiques[]
I'll prolly get around to critiquing some of the tied images later this week and making some more templates. And if anyone wants a userbox template for their pic, lemme know. Right now, though, it's about ten minutes til 4 am, and I'm cold after being outside to watch a lunar eclipse. Not particularly in the mood right at this moment to slap together more templates and write critiques. Trak Nar Ramble on 08:50, December 21, 2010 (UTC)
