Star Wars: Shattered Republic: Rage of the Wookiees is a short story written by J.D Treshersilder. It focuses on one of early resistance groups that would go on to form the Rebel Alliance.

It is 19 BBY, the Clone Wars are drawing to a close when the Clone Troopers executed their Jedi Officers and the Confederate Droid Army is deactivated. Shortly after the Battle of Kashyyyk, a Nu-class Transport arrives on Kashyyyk’s surface. Out of fear the Wookiees draw their weapons, for a brief moment it is silent then the boarding ramp opened on it the Wookiees found Arriurra who looks like he lost a boxing match. Speaking in Shyriiwook, the Wookiee Language “Arriurra, what happened?” Tarfful asked. “The Clones... they turned on me.”Arriurra replied in a low roar. Tarfful and the others helped Arriurra to the medical hut, where Tarfful continued to tell him about recent events.
In the medical hut, as Arriurra lay in his bed he asked: “What happened to Lofmum?” “She was gunned down by Commander Faie.” Tarfful replied in a roar of anger. Suddenly Senator Yarua rushed in the room, “Arriurra, you are-” But Yarua was cut off when a transmission from Mas Amedda answered. Speaking in basic Amedda said: “Senator Yarua, The chancellor request your presence in a special session of senate. Arriving on Coruscant, the pair is joined up by Padmé Amidala, Bail Organa, and C-3PO. The group boarded a shuttle to the Senate Building. On board Yarua growled, the other senators waited for C-3PO’s translation: “He says, does anyone know the Clone Troopers turned on the Jedi" “We’re just as confused as you are, senator.” Organa replied. The conversation was interrupted when the pilot droid came over the speaker and said: “Attention! Passengers we have reached our destination, please disembark now. Thank You for choosing Galactic Star Lines!” As the group entered the building they noticed numerous several Clone Troopers guarding the entrance. Inside the senate chamber, Palpatine spoke: “Fellow senators, the Jedi have turned against the Republic, the survivors will be defeated by the honorable Clone Troopers, who will hence be known as Stormtroopers, this is operation shall be called Clone Protocol 66… And ensure domestic tranquility the Galactic Republic shall be turned into the Galactic Empire!” After the session was done each senator was sent back to their homeworlds. The Wookiees knew that Palpatine told lies to the senate, the Jedi were not evil, but he was.
A few weeks passed, the ship known as the Drunk Dancer came to Kashyyyk, holding a band of Jedi survivors led by Jedi Master, Roan Shryne. Yarua was happy to give the Jedi safe harbor. However back on Coruscant, Palpatine contacted Darth Vader and said: “Lord Vader, the Wookiees have betrayed the Empire, take the Imperial fleet and wipe them out with the Jedi…all of them!” “As you wish, my master.” Vader replied. In that moment, Shryne and the other two Jedi sensed the impending attack.
The Wookiees, including Arriurra began salvaging the remaining battle droids and other Confederate resources left from the battle that happened weeks earlier. With a fortified base, the Wookiees were ready. Suddenly three Imperial Star Destroyers emerged from hyperspace and entered Kashyyyk’s atmosphere. Multiple Imperial transports began landing troops. Arriurra took a deep breath and roared knowing that it would be the beginning of the end. Arriurra took aim and got the first blood of the battle with his stalker pistols. Meanwhile, Jedi masters Forte and Kulka engaged Vader in a duel. However, this resulted to their deaths.
After a while he was being pinned down behind some crates. Despite this Arriurra was killing numerous Imperial troopers, he decided to distract the Imperial troopers by walking toward the troops and effortlessly dodge the lasers. When Arriurra was halfway Commander Appo ordered a momentary ceasefire. Taking full advantage of this moment, Arriurra pulled out his katana and charged full speed at the Imperial squadron. Using his bare fists and sword, Arriurra took down the squad within sixty seconds. Saving Appo for last, Arriurra grabbed him by the leg to prevent him from escaping. Appo tried to fight back. But Arriurra decapitated him, this caused Vader and Arriurra to engage in a brief duel. In order to save Arriurra, the Jedi reveal themselves to Vader. Another duel ensued with Shryne being the last death. With the Jedi dead, the battle ended with the planet’s enslavement.
:Arriurra slipped away in the chaos of defeat aboard the ship from weeks earlier. But with every loss comes a new beginning...
Canon/Continuity
The story uses the continuity from Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader. It serves as a prequel to the story. However, the events was told and focused on from a third person perspective of the Wookiees.

The story written for a creative writing class that the time was studying fanon.
Arriurra's distraction was meant to mirror Kanan Jarrus's Jedi reveal to Kallus.
