Stone knocked on the door and it opened automatically. He stepped in and saw Chev working on some type of project. Unaware on what that project was, Stone tried to get at least a short glimpse of it before the captain put it away. Chev put it in one of his drawers before locking it tight. He turned around to talk to the commander. "Stone, uh, what brings you here?" he asked in a suspicious manner. Commander Stone squinted his eyes and allowed himself to sit down. "Uh, sure, you can sit down," Chev said right after the clone trooper commander sat down in one of Chev's seats.
"I just have some questions that require answering, Captain. Then, I'll leave and maybe I'll never speak of this to anyone," Stone told him. Chev looked confused.
"What are you talking about?" he asked.
"How close were you with General Clasina?"
Heart beginning to pound at an uncontrollable rate, clone trooper Captain Chev bulged his eyes in response to that question; and Stone noticed quickly. He had no clue on what to say in reply to that. He tried his best to pivot, "Understandable question. What's the deal with the princess?"
Stone replied, "I see what you did there. It just made you look more guilty than your bulging eyes and sweating temples. What happened, Chev?" To them, the heat in the room started to increase exponentially but in actuality it was the same adjusted temperature as before Stone even walked in.
"It was quick, okay? We had our time and now it's time to get the troops back! Who cares, Stone. You're trying to pivot the whole entire main situation at hand," Chev finally let out.
"Enough, knowing you, you most likely forced her in to it. AND because of your hostile attitude, I'm officially placing you under watch," Stone replied, firmly. He got out a pen to write on a digital computer screen to issue a warrant for Captain Chev. Chev's pupils went from the former Coruscant commander to the digital pad he was working on at rapid speed. Possibly not exactly knowing what he was doing, Chev went in for one of his DC-17 pistols to stick it at his new opponent's head until Captain Ranger walked in, munching on a doughnut.
"What's going on in here?" Ranger asked. Stone did not tell Ranger about the whereabouts of Clasina because he knew it was her destiny nor the affair between Chev and her.
"Nothing. What brings you here?" Chev asked.
"I thought I heard a commotion. Must've been my imagination," Ranger replied in a disgusted manner.
"You can go now. You, especially, Stone," Chev said, never keeping his eyes off of Stone. Ranger made a face of disgust while walking away. Stone did the same. For some reason, Stone was in a huge predicament- either he tells everyone and raise controversy and an uprising, or he doesn't and let Chev get away with it. Either way it is a loss. Soon afterwards, everyone was called to the war room for a reason unknown. Dozens of troopers were called in such as Stone, Rahr, and Chev. Jedi General Clasina did not show up, only one of them knew why.
A Resistance Force major named Johnson stepped up on a stool and began to speak in his high voice, "Due to an anonymous tip, we have discovered that the princess and the others are being held by legendary sith lord Darth Night in a hidden mansion somewhere deep in the levels of Coruscant."
This sparked a verbal chain reaction from the soldiers who were in the war room. Bail Organa seemed less than pleased. Stone knew who it was but kept his mouth shut. Docks spoke up again, "Alright, alright. Let's do a fact check shall we? We received an anonymous tip from someone. Anonymous meaning someone who's identification is unknown to us. How in the world are we going to believe him?"
"We trust her," Stone commanded.
"But why?" Patrick asked.
"I had a little chat with General Clasina. She wanted to conduct an investigation by herself so she went back to Maul's base. I guess she picked up more info," Stone finally admitted. This also caused a verbal chain reaction.
"How do you know it's Clasina?" Major Johnson asked.
Stone turned around and replied, "Just trust me."
