BOOM! Roaring sounds of explosive mines activating was a trigger warning for those guards and everyone inside to turn to code red. Ranger closely could hear the moaning and groaning of Spike whose leg stepped on a mine and was bloody as all get out. Smoke clouded the uncharted area of Coruscant and the normally beautiful night sky was ashed in uprising dust. Crane used the small scope attached to his rifle to get a better look at what exactly was going on. To his optics, it looked all negative. Docks tried to contact people that were present during the explosion. "What the Hell is going on? Is everyone okay?" He yelled into the communications set.
Sobbing at the top of his lungs, Spike rolled around in the dirt, holding his fatally injured leg. Captain Ranger raced up to him and looked quickly in all directions. "Don't worry, buddy. This won't hurt a bit." Not having any medical experience, he stuck out a needle filled with pain killers and inserted it in Spike's arm. "AH!" screamed Spike. Maul's men sprinted out the sliding doors that led to the inside of the vicinity. A ringing noise commenced as Stone tried his best to get up from the ground, unaware whether or not he was injured. When he did get up, he noticed that General Clasina was on the floor with her arm all discombobulated. Stone examined her arm and easily determined that it was dislocated.
"Ma'am? Ma'am! Come on," Stone urged. General Clasina rolled her body around to face Stone's eyes.
"This is not my fight!" she muttered.
"General, what are you talking about? This is our fight. All of us. You will never be excluded from the cause," Stone grabbed her and pulled her up so she could walk again. Patrick Rahr casually walked over to Captain Ranger while he was providing cover fire for Spike.
"Oh hey, Ranger. How's it going? I just wanted to ask you if you had some meatloaf on you? Not literally on you but what I meant was, um... wait, was that what I meant? I don't know," Rahr said in a laid-back manner.
Ranger turned to Rahr. "You numskull, get down!" Ranger then threw a couple of grenades at the enemy firing back. He bolted back to Spike. More moaning came out of Spike's mouth. "I know this hurts, buddy. But it won't be for much longer, you'll be back on your feet and off your butt any day now," Ranger consoled.
"NO" Spike immediately replied. Ranger removed his special ops helmet and looked confused. "I'm not worried about my pain. I'm worried about others' pains. You see, I am apart of a militia. Not this strike-force government. I'm a dad apart of a huge and loving family. When the new Empire rose into action, I had to enlist in this paramilitary to protect them but now I see...." There was a pause.
"See what, Spike?" Ranger asked, gently but it was already too late. Ranger could see Spike's pupils roll all the back to the other side of his eyes. Even Rahr looked sad and he had no idea what was happening. Stone and Clasina were by the mountain where they set up camp and where Crane was sniping outside guards.
"R.M.S. base, this is Alpha-Bravo in sector 12B of Coruscant, requesting reinforcements. Effective immediately," Docks continued to use the communications set. Nothing; only interference.
"Now we just have to free climb this mountain to get to the campsite," Stone said. Clasina, without hesitation, used her force to lift up Stone onto the top of the small mountain. "What are you doing, General?"
"This is not my fight, but with Maul it is. I love Leia and I've known her ever since Senator Organa took legal custody of her. This is now my fight," Clasina told him as she ran off. Stone's draw dropped.
"Let her go, this is her," Crane recommended to Stone. Getting closer to the enemy's base of operations, Clasina waved around her lightsaber with her uninjured arm to let Darth Maul know that she wanted to fight with him alone. Maul could see this and said through the force, come, Jedi, come. Come meet your fate.
