Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker (Altered ending) is a fanfiction story written in the form of a script, adapting the Rise Of Skywalker movie. It is written by Lindanchen. Published to the wiki on March 05 2021. This altered ending mainly just changes the end of the story. The ambition was to keep the idea that Anakin Skywalker should end the Sith and to give a reasonable explanation why the son of Leia and Han should allow “his heart to be turned” by Snoke. The rewritten part starts at 1h 50 min of the movie.

Plot summary
After returning to the light Ben Solo flies to Exegol to destroy the Sith throne with his healing powers, as he had learned from his grand-father. But things don’t work as planned and Rey needs to kill Palpatine and she does so with anger. She learns from Ben Solo that she has started to go down a dangerous path that is difficult to escape.
