Star Wars: Episode IV is a forthcoming Star Wars fan fiction novel written by Brandon Rhea. Set within the Alternative Star Wars Saga, the novel continues the storylines of Star Wars: Episode III and Star Wars: The Alderaan Affair, although it also begins new storylines involving Kane Starkiller, Bail Organa and Princess Leia Organa that will continue through the second alternate trilogy. According to Rhea, the novel is set in 17 BBY and shows Princess Leia embracing her “darker side”. A release date for the novel has yet to be determined.

Currently, no official summary has been written for Star Wars: Episode IV. However, it is known that the novel is set in 2 BBY and features Kane Starkiller, Bail Organa and Princess Leia Organa, the latter of whom begins “embracing a bit of her ‘darker side’”. It has also been revealed that Kane Starkiller is the Dark Commander of the Dark Guardians of Lettow, which makes him Darth Vader’s de facto apprentice as he is in line to become Vader’s apprentice should anything happen to the Emperor. Starkiller becomes jealous, however, once Vader attempts to convince Princess Leia to be his apprentice after “she starts recognizing her darker side”.[1]
