Spagasiqsaiv /'spɒ.ɡɒ'sɪk.sɒ'iːv/ (Old Sith compound word formed from spaga meaning "sword"[5] and siqsaiv meaning "demon's"[5][6]) was a Forcesaber that originally belonged to the Rakata Predor of Azarac, Bala'zar. The weapon was famously used by the Red Sith liberator Asmenys to decapitate the Predor in single combat, as immortalized in the Tsis national epic Karzanuowonosa. It was subsequently carried by the Darithas of the Tsis as a symbol of their right to rule over Azarac.

Unlike later Tsis-produced Forcesabers based on the original Rakata design, the Spagasiqsaiv produced an orange-colored blade when ignited, consistent with the color preferences of the Rakata warriors who wielded these weapons.[2] Unlike the Forcesabers of the Force Hounds, the hilts of Rakata weapons were longer than average and more akin to lightsaber pikes, requiring users to wield them as polearms.[1] Spagasiqsaiv was no exception, with its hilt measuring half a meter. The saber was powered by an Ebon crystal infused and imbued with the dark side of the Force that augmented the powers of its user.[2] However, as the Tsis were generally an alignment-neutral Force-using people, the emperors who wielded Spagasiqsaiv were rarely affected by it. Tsis cultural norms discouraged rulers from seeking power for power's sake alone and expected them to view their offices as burdens of responsibility.[7] Thus, those Tsis who succumbed to lust for power or even to Spagasiqsaiv's influence were summarily removed by more capable upstarts.[7]

Though the Tsis darithas were legally permitted to carry the weapon on their persons if desired, most did not. Spagasiqsaiv was generally kept on display in a number of museums on Azarac and Lune. It was only brought out of rotation for special events of particular significance, such as coronations of new darithas or the knighting rituals of new Zirgaskut warriors. The only Tsis daritha to carry the weapon outside of the Seven Deaths system was Noretivas, who brought the weapon with her on her 3,677 BBY tour of the True Sith Empire as the Siths' guest of honor.
