Sor'aans were a Force-sensitive race of Near-Humans. Darth Merik was a member of this species.
Biography and appearance[]
Similar to the Nautolan species, the Sor'aans possessed exceptional olfactory and pheromone-sensing skills, enhanced by head-tresses. These tendrils were used to detect the emotional state of another being. Within Sor'aans culture, the ability to sense pheromone changes was an essential part of the communication process. All Sor'aans had sensory tentacles and multiple hearts, which were capable of beating separately.
Behind the Scenes[]
The Sor'aan appearance is based on that of the Asari from Mass Effect. Their culture and lively mood is based loosely on that of the Twi'leks and Nautolans.
