The Skirmish at Toriafas was a brief battle in 156 ABY. Lugubraa mercenaries targeted the former Exoi Kritocracy capital of Toriafas, but were repulsed by the stripped-down but still formidable Toriafas Defense Grid. Quick-thinking leaders of Toriafas's defensive fleet captured some of the enemy ships, rather than routing them all. Several Royal marines were killed by Lugubraa warriors before the enemy craft were finally seized.
The skirmish alerted the Empire to the threat posed by the Lugubraa, and Breek Zagrev and her fleet were able to prepare a defense at Cheff to meet the Lugubraa attack there.
